Knot Bad

This cotton bondage rope is ideal for rope beginners or rope elders, it's comfortable, not prone to chaffing, and definitely well made. As an added bonus it's extremely well priced and generally as good as a rope could be. Excellent product.

Use

This is bondage rope... for rope bondage. Rope bondage is a style of bondage best left to more experienced bondage players, or at least those with some learning in the area. If you are new at rope bondage I recommend you read a book or two on it to give you some ideas on how to deal with rope, and some safety tips.

It's 32 feet in length, and made of cotton. It's quite sturdy and with several of them, these would be appropriate for use in suspensions if the user were sufficiently qualified to do suspension safely. Cotton rope is a nice rope for rope beginners, as it is soft, and more comfortable than hemp ropes and not as slick as nylon.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

This is a simple rope, about 1/2 inch in width, nicely braided and made from cotton. The material is scentless, and soft, but not slick, and very... cotton-y, which is probably because it's cotton. It's comfortable, and the 32 foot length is particularly nice, as you can get quite a lot tying out of it, without having to worry about running out of rope to work with or changing ropes. The color selection is limited but nice, and I find it to be a very well made, sturdily braided rope that will work for rope pros or rope newbies.

I had no problems with weak spots in mine, and it is generally a very nice rope. My only complaint is that the ends are not properly fixed so you will have to tape or tie them yourself. I recommend using a little tape around each end, as knots are bulky and more prone to getting in the way of your bondage.

Performance

This worked very nicely for me. I've found it easy to use, and very sturdy. My partner and I have used it in several scenes, and it's quite sturdy. We've not used it for suspension play yet, but I'm quite sure it would hold up to use in suspension scenes. The rope's soft texture and comfortable width mean that it doesn't dig into skin, and is less prone to chaffing than hemp or jute rope (and I'm not fond of chaffing). Again, the only complaint is the need to fix the ends myself, but that's simple to do. Basically, this is as good as a rope can be (which is very good) and very well priced. A truly delightful toy.

Care and Maintenance

I bundle it and then wrap one end around the bundle to form a skien. Other than that wash with water and laundry detergent with the ends knotted and hang to dry. Make sure you retape the ends with every washing.

Packaging

It comes in a small plastic package with no naked people on it, though the packaging does clearly state its intended purpose. The back card includes a few ideas for knots which are best left to boy scouts.

Follow-up commentary
Although the ends have frayed a bit (before I tied them off) this is still a sturdy, beautifully made rope. It works well for suspensions, and if very comfortable for extended wear. I really do love this very reasonably priced rope.

We like this bondage rope too. It's one of my favorites, but for intricate bondage, it's just too thick. I wish they made a smaller version too. Then I'd be in heaven.
