Nice and Comfy

The Inked Tattoo Ankle Restraints are a comfortable pair of neoprene cuffs. They close by a velcro closure, meaning that they're great for people who are just starting out and even those who prefer a cheaper option (only $15!).

Use

The Inked Tattoo restraints are a soft, comfortable pair of cuffs. They're an easy-on, easy-off style due to their velcro closure, and they're fairly low-priced which is great for people who are just getting into playing with restraints. Because of their design, with the pink and orange dragon, they're not too masculine or feminine, so they are particularly good for couples who want to try out both ends of the Dominance/submission spectrum.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

California Exotic's Inked Tattoo restraints are made of neoprene and nylon. This makes them extremely soft and plush, and even a bit smooshy when pinched. The material reminds me almost of my Sportsheets cuffs, which are similarly modeled with the neoprene material. Neoprene is great for cuffs because it's just so comfortable, but I personally feel that it lacks the luxuriousness of leather.

On each of the cuffs is a design of a pink, Asian-inspired dragon with orange flames surrounding its body. The rest of the cuff is black, and the only other colored piece is the nylon loop where the attachment rings are. This loop is a medium shade of pink which is not too showy.

The cuffs can fit ankles/wrists of anywhere from 5" to 10" around. Lain flat, they are about 12 1/2" across. This poses a problem for people who have larger ankles, so they might only be useful as wrist cuffs. Each of the cuffs has a metal ring (which is nickel-free) for attachment points, and one of the cuffs has a swivel clasp for easy maneuverability.

Performance

Since these cuffs are ankle restraints, they are a bit bigger than a pair of wrist cuffs might be. That being said, they can be used for either ankles or wrists because of being so adjustable.

However, the problem with these cuffs is that the inside of the cuffs is entire lined with the velcro. What makes this a problem is that it take away from the comfort factor of wearing these cuffs. So in order to keep them comfortable, the cuffs need to be turned inside out, making it so that the design is actually facing inward, touching the skin. Though it doesn't bother me personally (black cuffs are just fine), it does take away from the interest of the cuffs.

You could always keep the design on the outside, but they will be a bit less comfortable that way.

This may come as a surprise, but the velcro is extremely strong. There is no way that anyone with a moderate amount of struggling will break free. Someone who thrashes around incessantly might, but we had no problems of escape.

Care and Maintenance

You can clean the cuffs either in the sink or with a damp, soapy cloth; either method would be sufficient. Storing them is fairly easy, as they can be stored in a drawer or on a shelf. I suggest keeping moderate care for the cuffs, since they do not require much fussing or attention.

Packaging

The Inked Tattoo restraints came in a thin, cardboard box. On the box is a picture of a woman wearing the ankle restraints, and a picture of the ankle restraints with some information telling what each piece is. On the side of the box is a bit more information. Nothing about care is anywhere on the box, but at least they have some material information!

I did not keep it for storage; I simply recycled my box.

Great review! I wonder why they would leave just Velcro inside the cuffs. I hate the feeling of Velcro against my skin

Thanks for the comments, everyone! And yeah, I have no idea why they did that. It sort of ruins the comfort factor.
