Paddle by Pipedream
Review by: CuriozCat

Oh my lovelies! The arrival of the Patent Paddle by Pipedream brought a smile to my lips as I envisioned the delightful thwack...thwack...thwack that was soon to come. This palm-sized paddle is covered in smooth shiny black patent leather with a contrasting shiny red embellishment on the front. The lightweight head is constructed of two flexible pieces which are sewn together over a stiff wooden core. This adds stability to the handle and creates a slight snap when it comes in contact with flesh. The braided wrist cord aids in control and can also be used to store, or display this flogging/striking toy.

The Patent Paddle is easy to hold and delivers a pleasing sting; perfect for a novice or occasional user. The first few smacks were satisfying enough. It caused an immediate redness to my inner thigh. The ones that followed did not sustain the same snap. Although the paddle's handle has a wooden core, the rigidity does not extend into the head. This leaves the head of the paddle a little floppy, resulting in a softening of the blow (so to speak). I did enjoy a lasting sting on my bottom from a flicking strike with the wrist, but try as we might, we could not raise a welt. I want to see more results from a spanking. This required more effort than I like in a paddle.

I would recommend the Patent Paddle for light bondage play and to folks looking to add a touch of kink to their encounters. It would make a spicy addition to a bachelorette's gift basket or a naughty surprise in your get-away-weekend kit. I'm not sure it would satisfy those seeking additions to their chamber tool box. Hardcore users may be disappointed.
