These handcuffs are almost essential for restraint in sex play. I did some research when I first received them. Upon opening them I could tell they were not new, and I thought I remembered reading somewhere that police issued handcuffs could not be sold brand new to civilians. I came to find that all police issue handcuffs sold by such places as Eden Fantasys, or other novelty shops are outdated cuffs. It is illegal for civilians to own up-to-date cuffs.

As for aesthetics, the cuffs definitely showed wear and tear. They were covered in little nicks and scratches, and were a little hard to operate at first (they were a bit stiff). The keys did not want to turn, and when they did, the cuffs still did not want to open with ease. I assumed with a little use, this problem would eventually cease. During use in sex, it was a little annoying that the unlocking and opening of the cuffs was rusty, but as suspected, with some time spent using the mechanism, I began to experience more ease with the use of the handcuffs.

Of course, being in handcuffs and not having use of your hands or being forced to stay in one position (particularly with your hands above your head or behind your back) can be extremely uncomfortable, even while being pleasured.
