The best quality of this product would be the realism. These are billed as being actual police cuffs, and it seems that they live up to their description. My boyfriend has had the occasional run-in with law enforcement (so I have a thing for bad boys...is that wrong?) and he says that they feel very real. That didn't worry him at all. In fact, I'm not sure that he even remembered that he had them on except for the fact that when he wanted to use his hands, he didn't have them available.

Make sure you don't lose the keys! There is only one set in the box, which could easily fall out without you noticing during transport (mine were loose in the shipping container when they arrived) and the only way to get these babies off without the keys is to pick the lock or use a hacksaw. Possibly a mood killer. The keys I received don't work that well anyway, which could make for some awkwardness mid-scenario unless you have practiced.

And I did play with them beforehand, of course. I was excited for them to show up in the mail, and I immediately wanted to take them out and try them. These cuffs are heavy and shiny and fun to play with. There's a nice clicking sound as the mechanism slides together. Very satisfying in every tactile sense. They feel totally real and are nice and sturdy for restraining any naughty people you may encounter in the bedroom. However, you can leave them loose enough so that they aren't painful - unless that's what you're after. (Which would be totally doable, and maybe something to keep in mind for future experiments.) They can be made quite tight, allowing them to fit any wrist size. These are fun, exactly what they claim to be and can be incorporated into all kinds of play.

As a note, these things are COLD if they have just been sitting around. Keep that in mind before you put them on someone. This could work to your advantage if you're seeking some temperature play.
