Cost > Quality

To be completely honest, the quality of these cuffs is too low to justify such a high price. The hinge is looser than it should be, and the edges are rough enough that they'll leave clear marks. If you don't want your kinky tendencies to be known, these aren't the cuffs for you. Even if you're completely open/comfortable with your kink, you can get a pair of the same quality level for less cost.

Use

This set of handcuffs works wonderfully for heavier bondage or restraint. Because they feature a double-locking system and NO quick release, they are definitely for more serious users. These cuffs are average size, so unless the captive has super-skinny ankles, they will only fit on wrists.

As I said, these cuffs work wonderfully for heavy bondage, and would also serve well for serious role-playing, or even as a spare set for someone who works in law enforcement. They could also be used/worn with a police or criminal costume, but I would suggest taking these cuffs VERY seriously. If you lose your keys, you're in trouble.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These heavy duty cuffs are designed to actually hold their captive, and are NOT built for comfort. They are plain, sturdy metal with no frills- just the handcuffs and the keys that you need in order to open them. Because of this straight-forward and plain design, they do have the potential to leave bruising if tightened more than necessary. There is NO quick release feature, so this set of handcuffs is not meant to be taken lightly.

I've looked on the product page and the packaging, but there is no information about the material other than that it is metal, a 9 on the material safety scale. Although I don't know the exact metal type, I can say that this material is food-grade material, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. It also holds temperatures (heat and cold) rather well, which works nicely if you're interested in temperature play. This set of handcuffs can be sterilized, which is really great if you want to get into play that involves bodily fluids. They also have a really nice, satisfying weight to them.

The craftsmanship is actually a bit disappointing. The edges are rough and the hinges are loose.
Now, it's not like handcuffs are supposed to be comfy, but the rough edges can rub and result in chafing and tenderness, beyond that which is expected from bare metal restraints. You'd think that they'd run a file over it during production to smooth it down a bit.

As for the hinges, a certain amount of room is necessary in order to allow for easy movement... The design of these handcuffs has that necessary room, and then some. Actually, there is enough extra space in the hinge that the swinging arm can actually wobble, and even end up outside of the part it's supposed to smoothly click into. I was really expecting higher quality, considering these are the most expensive, all metal handcuffs on the site.

As is the case with most handcuffs, these cuffs are adjustable and will fit almost anybody. Of course, there are exceptions, as always. People with really large or really small wrists may not be able to use these cuffs or get them to fit properly.

The cuffs measure approximately 9" from end to end, and approximately 3" wide on average. The chain connecting the cuffs is just about 2.5" long, and each key is just under 2" long.

Performance

The handcuffs are heavy duty, and hold up easily, even to heavier use. As far as we can tell, they are unlikely to show any wear other than the surface scuffs that are to be expected from any metal product.
The lack of quick release is great, because it means that the wearer really is giving up control/freedom to their partner. The key release be a bit tricky (can require a bit of jiggling), but overall, it twists easily without much force. You just have to be careful with the keys, because without them (or some lockpicking skills), you won't be getting out of these babies! I'd suggest keeping one key with the cuffs, and putting the other on your car keyring, or in a jewelry box, or someplace else where you can get to it easily in an emergency but it won't be at risk of getting lost.

As I said before, the edges are a bit rough and will cause chafing. Also, the hinge is a bit loose, so you may have to manually insert the swinging arm into the slot, because it can potentially miss.

Care and Maintenance

This is a really low maintenance product. For simple cleaning, you can use toy wipes or wash the cuffs with soap (or toy cleaner) and warm water. If you're using them during play that involves bodily fluids, you'll want to sterilize them by boiling them (3 minutes), bleaching them (10% solution), or running them through the dishwasher on the top rack (without soap). Because this is a metal product with nooks and crannies where moisture can get trapped, you want to be sure to dry your cuffs thoroughly before setting them out somewhere to dry the rest of the way.

As far as I know, there are no special storage requirements. You'll want to make sure that your cuffs are stored in a way that the keys will stay with them, like in a pouch or something. I keep my cuffs in the box they originally came in, just to keep everything together and prevent possible damage to the other toys in my toybox.

Packaging

There's definitely nothing special about the packaging. It's a simple cardboard box with a glossy finish. It has pictures of the cuffs and keys from different angles, along with a description of the cuffs. It's really not worth keeping unless you (like me) want to keep your cuffs in it when not in use.

Experience

We had a cheap costume set of handcuffs a few years ago (with a quick release button), but they were damaged at some point and had to be thrown away. I decided to get us a replacement pair, and started searching through EF's inventory of handcuffs. I narrowed it down to 3 pairs: the Double Locking Nickel Handcuffs, the Dual Lock Handcuffs, and the Police Handcuffs.

I was torn between the Dual Lock and the Police handcuffs, but in the end, decided on the police ones. I figured that they were expensive because they were high quality. I was pretty disappointed when they arrived and I realized I'd been mistaken.

We decided to keep (and use) them anyway. My partner handcuffed my hands behind my back and put me on my knees with a vibrator between my legs. This was a new experience, since I'd always had the ability to escape from my restraints before. The rough edges of the cuffs chafed at my wrists as I squirmed, but I was stuck, just like He wanted me to be.

Overall, it was a really hot experience, and I enjoyed looking down at my wrists for the next 24 hours or so and seeing those marks.
Follow-up commentary
While these cuffs aren't as high-quality as we were expecting for the price we paid, they're still nice and sturdy. We love the lack of quick-release, because it gives these handcuffs (and the experience of using them) a much more serious feel.
To be safe, we've got one key with the handcuffs and another key on the keyring with our car keys.
