This tickler is made from two materials, feathers and plastic. The feathers are available in three different colors that include red, purple, and black. The plastic handle is black no matter which color you choose.


The plastic handle has a slightly shiny appearance to it. It has a wider bottom, where you would hold onto it, and a larger, hollow area at the top where the feathers are glued inside. The surface is mostly smooth but the company name is raised in the area where you would hold it. Being plastic, it's not a big deal if you accidentally get lubricant on it during your play. Any type is safe, but you want to avoid it if necessary. The feathers on the top could easily become damaged by lubricant, bodily fluids, or any other moisture so it's best to keep the entire piece away from it if possible.

The plastic rod in the center has some slight bend to it, but it's pretty stiff in general. Since you're going to use this to lightly tease your partner, there's no real concern about how durable it is as far as bending; certainly not like you would a crop or paddle.

The feathers at the top are soft and fluffy and are a pretty good quality. The ones at the base are fluffier and the ones in the center are longer and have a thicker shaft to them. The majority of the coloring is black, but there are some areas where there's a brown color mixed in. This is annoying if you're using it to accessorize an outfit since the whole piece isn't totally black. If you're just using it for teasing, it shouldn't make a difference.


The feathers are attached to the tickler with glue in the center of the handle. The glue holds the feathers in place very well and it's unlikely that they would easily come apart. When I tugged on it they felt totally secure, but I wouldn't recommend doing that in general. Anything other than using this for light play puts the quality at risk and may result in the feathers becoming detached.

The glue is very messy around the base of the feathers and makes the top of the plastic handle look cheap. It doesn't change how the tickler works or feels, but it's a quality concern worth noting.


The size of the tickler is very reasonable. It's long enough that it can reach your partner without them knowing where you're tickling next, but it's also compact enough that it's comfortable to use when you are closer with them. It's also a travel friendly size that can be tucked into a suitcase or larger bag (just be careful that the feathers don't get crushed) and can easily be stored in a drawer or toy box.

The full length is 12 1/2", but the total size will vary since not all feathers are the same length. Of that size, 8" of it makes up the handle. The feathers range in size from 1 1/2" to 4 1/2" in length and are a variety of different widths. Each tickler will vary slightly in size.

It's difficult for a feather tickler to perform poorly, this one works just as you would expect it to. The feathers are all very soft, none of them poke at the skin while you're using it, and it provides the teasing sensations you'd expect from a toy like this.

The length is great since you're able to use it in different positions while also remaining easy to store when it's not in use. This is great for light play, whether you're a total beginner to sex toys, or have been playing for years. Caring for a feather tickler does require a little extra patience since you need to use extra caution that the feathers aren't exposed to moisture. With storing you want to be careful that the feathers aren't squished against anything. If the feathers are forced to flex, the shaft could permanently bend or break, causing the feathers to look messy and not work as well.

There was no packaging included with the toy. Not a bag, not a box, nothing. On the tickler is a sticker that's folded around the handle that acts as a tag. It gives you only the tiniest amount of information about the toy, and leaves a very sticky residue when you remove it.


While it is lacking packaging and information, it would make a cute addition to a sensual gift basket. Add some soft cuffs, a blindfold, and a relaxing CD and you have the perfect gift for a newly married couple or your partner.
