It's a Toy and Not in the Good Way

The opposite of intense, something I feel tickling should be. The feathers used were too light and downy and didn't provide enough drag to do anything; even the harder area where there was a bit of glue wasn't too great. This is a pass. If you really want one, get one from the kid's section of the dollar store.

Use

Whips and chains not for you? Try some light foreplay with a feather duster! Tickling is a known torture that almost EVERYONE loves. Got a French maid fantasy? Well, it doesn't look like the feather dusters traditionally used, but this would work in a snap. Into something heavier? Blindfold them for some sensory deprivation and leave them guessing where you're gonna go after next.

As you can tell, this is just a plastic stick with a fun-looking poof on the top. It looks like a kid's toy, honestly, and I think I can get one at the dollar store. This doesn't even resemble a feather duster as it did in the picture. I imagined the poof being bigger and less circular, and perhaps proportionately larger compared to the stick.
I do like that it came clean, doesn't smell and the feathers don't come off. The feathers are pretty downy, but it looks so flimsy; I'm afraid after a while or one accident where it catches on something the whole thing will break.

Performance

Things that are ticklish usually have enough mass to cause the slightest friction without putting on too much pressure, which has a result of losing the ticklish feeling and becoming more like a touch. What tickles the best is an optimization problem. You can't be too light or too heavy. This went way too light.
While this was being used on me, it felt more like someone was cleaning me or blowing on me than tickling me. The only place that was tickled was my feet after my partner pushed down to where the glue was, and even then it wasn't really intense. That area however doesn't help anywhere else. I was surprised, since I was one of the most ticklish people I knew and came into this worried I was going to freak out, but it turns out there was nothing to worry about.
