When trying to find just the right collar for my husband to wear when I'm in the mood to be in charge, I knew I also wanted a good all purpose sturdy leather leash to go with it. But I also wanted one that was sharp looking and would go with any collar we own or will own in the future, because sometimes I'm the one wearing the collar and leash. The leather leash by Spartacus looked to be the perfect accessory. It is simply beautiful and since it is black will go nicely with any collar we want to attach it to. Made of high quality leather it's the perfect addition to any collar you put on your sub. At 48 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, it is the perfect length to lead them wherever you want. The construction is one solid sturdy piece of leather looped and riveted at one end for holding in your hand or using it as a wrist strap. The other is looped and riveted around a spring loaded, metal, swivel, snap hook. This is a very sturdy leash similar to a good quality one you would find at a pet store.

One benefit that I discovered while we were playing, is that the looped end makes a nice little makeshift whip. At first I was a bit concerned that the rivet might get in the way and do some damage that I hadn't intended but it didn't seem to be a problem at all. While he was wearing it I was able to use it to smack his bottom and thighs. It sounded great when it hit and had a nice stinging effect and left some pretty pink marks.

Overall this is a very good buy. It's sturdy, versatile, and simplistically beautiful. It should last for many years.
