FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I’d had my eye on this for awhile, but originally it was purely eye candy. Then my glass addiction was finally woken and I haven't been able to get enough of these sexy pieces ever since. The main features I was drawn to were the colourful spots and curved shaft. My eyes rarely deceive me and I'm glad this number is part of my collection. Better late than never!




MATERIAL ~ ODOR:

The Rainbow G is made from Pyrex glass for the SSA Glass company. Being non-porous, it has a safety rating of 10, is hypoallergenic, food grade as well as being latex and phthalates free. Another two bonus features of glass is that you're free to use any type of lubricant you like and there is no odour what so ever when it first arrives. It also won't hold odours due to the material's nature.


COLORING ~ TEXTURE:

The majority of the toy is clear with nubs coloured in red, yellow and blue. On the very tip is red and looks as though the dildo has been dipped in the colouring.
Rainbow G features two rows of medium sized red numbs at the top of the shaft, two blue rows near the base and a yellow vertical row up each side. Apart from the slight nub bumps, the entire toy has a slippery smooth texture with no drag across dry skin.












SHAPE:

There is nothing straight about this guy. It has a small flared base in which the shaft of the toy comes off of on a slight angle. Half way up the shaft, it curves back in the opposite direction so the bulbous head is in line with the base. The yellow nubs up each side follows the curves of the toy. The total length is 7” with 6 ½” for inserting and a circumference of just under 3 ½”. The head has a girth of 4”.
At a circumference of 5”, the base isn't a whole lot wider than the shaft.

CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:

Glass toys are one of the easiest to take care of. Simply wash them with anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleaner or a wipe. They can either be sterilised by placing in the top shelf of your dishwasher (soap free cycle), boiled for a few minutes or wiped over with a 10% bleach solution. Just be sure to rinse it off thoroughly. Glass doesn't attract lint like most materials do.

My Rainbow G arrived packaged in an abundant amount of bubble wrap to protect it on the journey. Simple, but gets the job done. It also came with a black drawstring velvet pouch. Unfortunately it's not padded at all.




USAGE:

Although this one does have a flared base, it's not much larger than the shaft itself. Normally I wouldn't let this bother me too much, but because this is glass, not overly long and is extremely slippery when lubed up, I don't suggest using this one anally. Instead, it is designed for those of us who love g-spot stimulation, but don't require a drastic curved shaft or overly large bulbous head. Otherwise, it still makes for a great standard dildo for vaginal thrusting, no matter what stage you're up to in your toy journey.
If you so desire, the rounded tip could be used for pinpoint deep tissue massage. It's also perfect for temperature play, whether it be cold or warm. Glass toys shouldn't be heated in the microwave. Personally, I prefer to boil some water, pour it into a bowl and allow the toy to heat up. Same as when it comes to cooling; add some ice cubes to a bowl of water. Just be sure to test the temperature of the glass before plunging it into an orifice.

EXPERIENCE:

He isn't the top favourite in my glass stash, but he is among my regulars used. I find this one is more than able to rub against my g-spot, but I don't require too much of a bulbous head. Just a slightly curved shaft will do the trick. It may not work quite as well for others.
It is very pretty and I love that it's able to stand up with ease on its own, so it takes up very little space in my cabinet. It's unfortunate that the pouch isn't padded, but the only time that will become a problem for me is when I move.
