A little practice can make this juggling act perfect!

I really like this toy. It's different than the usually pin-pointed vibes out there. Although you can't get that pin-pointed vibration that some like, you can apply firm pressure, which may not get you there immediately, but will be so rewarding once you "arrive".

Use

This is a massager that is intended for external use. It isn't phallic and really couldn't be used internally. At least not in any way I'd like to imagine. It's a basic design that is pretty use-friendly. It comes in feminine colors, but I think men could enjoy this as well. I personally use this to stimulate everything on my body, as it's great to use as a massager. That said, it is likely intended to be more of a clitoral massager. Don't let this scare you from experimenting, though! With patience and time, you can make this product work wonderfully for you.

Material / Texture

This is a dual-sided ball, with one side being a hard plastic and the other being a softer TPR material. It is porous, so keep that in mind when it comes to cleaning. It really didn't seem to have much of an odor, despite half of it being TPR. The plastic side is completely smooth and rigid, allowing firm pressure to be applied from that side of the ball. The TPR side has a firm core, but a softer outer layer that has some drag to it. It's interesting, but usually I hold the ball by this side. Neither side has any real texture to it and with lube or oil; the entire thing feels pretty smooth.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is a basic ball. The middle of the ball has a seam. If you twist each side in opposite directions, the middle seam will open, revealing the battery compartment which houses 3 AA batteries. There is a waterproof ring that seals off moisture, so you can have fun in the shower as well! The ball is about 3 1/4" across and fits easily in my hand. My hands are very small, so if I can handle it, surely others can. The TPR side of the ball has a little nub which is where you press to start the vibration and go through the functions. It is basically flat, but you will see a small circle where the button is. A firm depression of this spot activates the vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I really like the basic idea of this toy. It escalates through 3 vibrations. The first can barely be felt, to be honest. I never use the first function. The second is a mild vibration, which I use all over or to warm up for a higher vibration. It is a very relaxing pitch that works well around my neck and shoulders. The third is a bit higher pitched and buzzy. It is enough to make me orgasm, but not quickly. It definitely takes some work. Even though I don't find myself orgasming quickly, the build up to the climax makes it intense.

That said, I am glad that the toy is also quiet. I use it alot and this is part of the reason why. The vibrations aren't super strong, but the sound is also that that loud. Seems like a fair exchange for me. The waterproof ring seems to work wonderfully. I've never had any issues. It does seem to chug battery life, but I use rechargeable batteries, so this doesn't bother me too much.

Care and Maintenance

It's best not to use silicone lubricant on this toy, as it can degrade the TPR side of the ball. Water-based is best. As far as cleaning goes, the best thing you can do is wash it with soap or toy cleaner and rinse in warm water. Storage can be tricky as the TPR might catch a bit of dust or lint. It doesn't seem as bad as some of my toys, but it can be a pain at times.

I store mine in the box that it came in. It's easy to roll about and the box at least stabilizes it. I wouldn't store it next to another toy, just to be safe. The TPR could react and you might end up with a bad or sad situation on your hands.

Packaging

The Pleasure Ball comes in a clear box that is just big enough to hold the ball. Inside the box there is a couple of plastic sleeves which cradle the ball and keep it from rattling around. There's nothing tacky about the packaging and I found it to be quite cute. The massager is innocent enough that I think it would be suitable as a gift, even with the product being so visible. There is some basic product information, but nothing in-depth. Due to the makeup of the box keeping the ball from rolling around, I use it as storage as well.

Personal comments

I've used this as a body massager, rolling it all over, using it to ease aches and pains and just relieve tension. It works like a charm for this and is a little more interesting and compact than some wand-style massagers. As a sexual toy, I've learned to master it with my hand and by riding it. That may sound complicated, but it's almost easier for me to sometimes straddle the ball and gently grind on it. I've had my best orgasms with this toy using this method. I sometimes use massage oil if I am using it all over, but it really doesn't suck lubricant or oil up bad enough for me to feel like it's an issue.
It may seem like more trouble than it is worth to use this, but I find it to be a lot of fun. It is different and feels different than the usual vibrators I have. It’s fun to change things up once in awhile!

Thanks for sharing the different ways you used this toy. I can see it being more useful for rolling over different body parts than actually being a sex toy, for me anyways. The shape just seems like it'd make things so awkward. The vibrations don't seem very amazing either, but this is an interesting looking toy. Great review on it!

Yeah it's definitely not something intended for a buzz queen, Kendra. I just sometimes have the time and the energy to experiment and find new ways of doing things. That's the only way I managed to make this work so well. It's not one of those tried and true toys. Thank you all for reading!
