Are ya feelin' frisky?

With it's large, angled bulb, the Mood Frisky is a great addition to anyone's G-spot toy collection. The shape is ideal for G-spot stimulation and the plastic has a luxurious velvet finish. While I can't always this vibrator to work for me, many G-spot enthusiasts will love the inexpensive Mood Frisky.

Use

The Mood Frisky by Doc Johnson is intended to be a G-spot vibrator. The shape lends itself well to G-spot stimulation but the shape limits its versatility. It can be used clitorally but I would not recommend it solely as a clitoral vibrator. It can also be used to stimulate any other erogenous zone. Warming yourself up by running this along your nipples or thighs may be just what you want before using this to stimulate your G-spot. The shaft of the vibrator is thin and there is no flared base so I would caution against using this anally. The shape may be tempting for P-spot stimulation but I doubt a trip to the ER to have this removed from your rectum sounds tempting.

The Mood Frisky has an O-ring around the battery compartment so this little gem can accompany you in your shower. I wouldn’t recommend submerging it but some shower play and a gentle cleaning under running water should not result in any damage in the battery compartment. I’ve used this in the shower and I haven’t found any moisture in the battery compartment.

While it’s not phallic shaped, it’s not very discreet. Anyone familiar with sex toys will know what this is. For this reason, if you’re a shy one, this may not be the best one to travel with. It’s small enough to fit in any bag you travel with but if it’s found, you’re busted.

Material / Texture

The Mood Frisky is made of ABS plastic with a matte, velvety finish. The velvet finish feels lovely. It provides a small amount of drag but it makes this inexpensive toy feel more luxurious than its price tag would suggest. Thankfully, the velvet finish does not make this vibrator a lint magnet. The plastic is phthlate free and latex free. The material is rigid with absolutely no give. Firmer materials are ideal for G-spot stimulation. I prefer firm toys but those who prefer softer, more supple toys may not enjoy the material of the Frisky.

The toy is completely devoid of any texture. There are no bumps, ridges, veins, or nubs. Texture sensitive users will appreciate the smooth surface of the Frisky. There is, however, a very faint seam that runs vertically down the center of the toy. It can’t be felt in use at all and it can barely be felt by hand.

Design / Shape / Size

The Frisky is shaped much like a traditional G-spot vibrator with a deep G-spot curve. It has a large, angled bulb on the end along with a slim shaft. The large, rigid bulb is considered an excellent shape for G-spot stimulation. The bulb itself is 2” long and 4.5” in circumference. There is not much taper to the bulb so most of the bulb is 4” in circumference and over. Fortunately, once the bulb is inserted, it’s smooth sailing for those who have trouble with large girths. The shaft is 5.5” long and a mere 2.75” in circumference. The battery cap comprises the final 1” of the length of the toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Mood Frisky, powered by two AA batteries, has surprisingly strong vibrations. However, the vibrations are on the buzzy side of the spectrum which can make them seem weaker or less pleasurable to many users. I prefer rumbly vibrations but the Mood Frisky was still tolerable. The vibrations are controlled by a dial located on the base of the battery cap. The vibrations start off at a solid 2 vrooms, 2 bees and continue to increase incrementally until the most powerful setting of 4 (buzzy) vrooms and 3 bees. I like dial controls because it’s easy to get just the right level of vibration you want. There’s nothing worse than having one setting be too weak and having the next setting be too strong.

Care and Maintenance

ABS plastic is best cleaned with mild soap and water, a designated toy cleaner, or a toy wipe. ABS plastic can not be boiled, especially when it has mechanical parts like the Mood Frisky. The Mood Frisky can be used with any lube your heart desires. Slather on the water-based, oil-based, or silicone-based lube...Frisky won’t care!

Frisky also won’t care where you store it. It can be stored in a toy pouch or a plastic bag if you prefer to keep your toys covered. It can also be stored loosely in a toy box with the rest of your toys. It’s small and compact; it won’t take up much room no matter how you choose to store it.

Packaging

I love the packaging for the Mood line! It’s attractive and informative. The Mood Frisky comes in the standard black cardboard box with multi-colored dots. The sides and back have a lot of easy to understand information. The back uses a simple dot system to convey information and that can be found on all of the Mood packaging. This simple and consistent system makes it easy to compare different Mood products to find what you’re looking for.

Packaging

This packaging isn’t meant for long term storage. It’s not discreet either as you can clearly see what’s inside the box. However, I still love it and think it’s great packaging for an inexpensive toy.

Personal comments

I feel like I’m on a never ending quest to find a G-spot toy that works for me. My G-spot is ever elusive and only responds to stimulation on occasion. I don’t fault my toys for that. That said, the Mood Frisky has been the best at stimulating my G-spot so far. Almost every time I use this I experience some G-spot stimulation. I can’t orgasm from using this internally by itself but when paired with clitoral stimulation, I have some of the strongest and longest orgasms. I find it works best for me when I use this internally and occasionally use it clitorally to change things up. I own a few different G-spot vibrators but I’ve found that this shape definitely works the best for me. It’d be a great first G-spot vibrator for many women. I’m hoping that the longer I use this, the more I can get my G-spot to respond to stimulation.

I bought a similar model to this because I thought it would be great from reviews I read, but I find the bulb uncomfortable, (though mine might be larger than yours since it's a different brand). I see so many claims that this shape has helped people & I'm glad it works as well as id does for you after searching so long. Ah, the quest continues...good luck & let us know if you find anything even better for you! Thanks for the candid review!
