Mood frisky - g-spot vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Lioncub

The Mood Frisky by Doc Johnson is a G-spot vibrator. It is an insertable toy that should be able to reach your G-spot, due to different body styles this may not be the case. Be sure to check the measurements before buying to be sure it will reach. This vibrator can also be used for clit stimulation, around your guys scrotum area, or anyplace you would like a little vibration. I would not try this toy for anal play as there is not enough of a flared base to hold it and keep it from getting lost.

Due to the size of the bulb I would not say this is a good toy for a beginner.

This toy can be used solo or with a partner depending on your preferences.

This toy is made from plastic which is rated at an 8 out of 10 on the Eden's Safety Scale. This food grade material is also hypo-allergenic and latex free. There is no texture on this toy it is extremely smooth. Keep in mind that plastic toys are very rigid with no give to them; this means too much or too hard of thrusting can cause bruising. I did not notice any type of odor coming from the Frisky when I opened the package.

The design is pretty typical for your average G-Spot stimulator. It has a shaft that measures 6 1/2" in length with 1" of this being the battery cap and control so not insertable; it is approx. 2 3/4" in circumference. At the top end of the shaft is a bulb that is approx. a 45degree angle. The bulb is approx. 2 1/4" in length with a circumference of 4 1/2" at the widest point. I found the size to be suitable for my use; though I think the bulb would be somewhat large for a beginner to start with.

I would not consider this toy to be discreet. You can hide it under a pillow or the mattress with ease if need be. I would not travel with this toy and would caution anyone that did to be sure and remove the batteries.

The vibrations can be felt throughout the vibrator though they are the strongest in the upper end of the shaft. They are still felt in the bulb but not as strong as I would have hoped or like them to be. This toy does have multiple speeds however the control knob is very, very touchy. To turn the toy on and change the speed you will find a small dial at the end of the battery cap. A light touch will turn this whether you meant to or not. I honestly cannot tell you how many speeds it has as they all merge together for the most part with a dial control such as this has. The highest only being a step or 2 above the lowest; and even then it is a really weak vibration.

The vibe is operated by 2 AA batteries that slide into the end of it. They are easy to put in but a pain to get out; I had to hold it upside down and then shake hard to get them to come back out.

This vibe is very noisy, it could be heard across the hallway with my air conditioner on and the blankets over it. That being said it won't get much use as I still have kids that live at home. This is a toy for a couple with soundproof rooms or no kids or roommates.

The box states the toy is waterproof, the O ring on mine fit loosely so I did not attempt the submersion test as I did not want water to get inside of it and was not sure the Oring was a tight enough fit to prevent this.

Since this toy is made of plastic you can easily clean it with soap and water; toy cleaner or a toy wipe. You will want to make sure you get the area where the shaft meets the bulb extremely clean.

Storage is easy with this toy you can put it on a shelf, in a drawer, or wherever you store your toys with little to no worry.

You can use water based, silicone based, or oil as lube options with this vibrator.

This vibe came in Doc Johnson's standard box for the Mood line of toys. A simple black, light cardboard box adorned with colorful dots all over it. There is a cut out on the side that shows you the actual toy encased in a plastic case. I would not use this box for gift giving as it shows you exactly what is in it. You can use it for storage but being such lightweight cardboard it may tear over time.

This vibe is the right size for me but lacks in power and is extremely noisy. Both of these make the cons outweigh the pros by a landslide for me. I will stick with Cal Exotics Scoop and Heart Racer both of which are quieter and more powerful than the Frisky.
