G-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued

Couldn't Please This Clit of Steel Girl.

The Sphere is a moderately powerful rabbit style vibrator. It is super quiet, silicone and waterproof. However, I found a lot of flaws with this vibrator that would annoy most users (including me). The design makes it awkward to reach the buttons during use, and the vibration settings are in an odd order. Plus, the clitoral attachment is really small. I wouldn’t recommend this vibrator because of all its flaws.

Use

The Sphere by NMC Ltd is a dual stimulator vibrator with a rabbit like design. I love rabbit style vibrators so I decided to give Sphere a try. What a big mistake! I found this vibrator really boring. It didn’t provide any excitement for me. There are a lot of design flaws that make Sphere hard to use. It isn’t very powerful and its awkward design left me frustrated. Its short clitoral attachment will only work for some individuals. Needless to say, I won’t be using Sphere again.

Sphere is suitable for beginners to advanced users. If you know this kind of shape will work for you, by all means give it a try. However, I wouldn’t personally recommend this toy for all of its flaws.

Material / Texture

One really great thing about Sphere is that it is made out of silicone. It’s definitely hard to find a silicone rabbit, most are jelly. Silicone is a really safe material to use. It rates a ten out of ten on Eden Fantasy’s Safety scale and is hypoallergenic and non-porous.

Sphere’s silicone has a rubber type feel. It is nice and smooth and has no drag when applied to the skin. Sphere’s silicone is really easy to bend. It’s very flexible if you like to adjust your toys. Here are some photos to demonstrate.

There is no texture to the toy so if you like smooth toys you may like this. Sphere had no noticeable smell when I received it. The bottom handle is made out of plastic.
    • Flexible
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Sphere is average in size. It has a length of 7 ½” and has an insertable length of 4 ¾”. Its circumference is 3 ¼” and a diameter of 1”. It’s really light at only 8 oz. I definitely think Sphere is on the smaller to more average size. The size is suitable for most users unless you like bigger toys.

Although I do like rabbit style vibrators, I didn’t enjoy Sphere’s design. The top of the shaft and clitoral attachment have little balls that are slightly separated from the rest of the shaft. The rest of the vibrator is plain smooth. The ball at the top of the shaft is the biggest. The shaft decreases in size bellow the ball. Most toys increase in size as you go down. I didn’t like the top being the biggest because it was harder to insert. Plus, I like the feeling of a shaft increasing in size, not decreasing. I also didn’t like the feel of the ball at the top. It just felt uncomfortable to me.

My other issue with the design is the size of the clitoral attachment. I measured it and it is only 1 ¼”. This is really small! It is much too small to make it work for me. If your clitoris is very close to your vaginal opening, this may work for you. However, I need my clitoral attachment to be much longer. However, Sphere is very flexible so you may be able to bend it to suit your needs.

Sphere is fairly small so it is easy to hide and store. I store mine in a plastic bag to keep the silicone away from the other toys. I would personally travel with a smaller clitoral vibrator, but you could easily hide it in your suitcase.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Sphere does have two motors. This a great plus in my opinion. One motor is located at the top of the shaft, and the other is located in the clitoral attachment. I do prefer dual motor toys because they are generally more powerful. However, I found the Sphere to be moderate in vibration speed. It is suitable for most users, but not for this clit of steel girl! If you need lots of power, look elsewhere. I couldn’t even orgasm with this vibrator. It just didn’t have enough oomph for me. I didn't like it internally or externally. The Sphere is fairly quiet. Even at its highest setting, you can’t hear it through a closed door. This is great for you if you have roommates.

If the design were the only flaw, I would recommend this toy. However, its controls are hard to access during use. After inserting the Sphere, I realized that the buttons were hard to access. When you insert the vibrator the correct way, the buttons are located on the side and not on the front like most toys. Here is a picture to demonstrate. Imagine my finger showing insertion.

I’ve never had a toy that places the buttons on the side. It made me really frustrated during playtime trying to figure out how to press the buttons without taking the toy out. I finally had to use both hands in order to change the settings. This really frustrated me. I admit, I should have paid more attention to the design before I bought it, but it didn’t cross my mind. I was a little too excited to try this out! I’ve learned from my mistakes.

The Sphere has two pink buttons. One is to turn the vibrator on and the other button is to cycle through the settings. The buttons themselves are easy to press, but hard to access as mentioned above.

The Sphere does have a lot of options. It offers three speeds of steady vibration and seven patterns. With most vibrators, the speed increases when you turn on the toy. For some odd reason, the Sphere starts its vibration on the highest setting and then decreases the next two times you press the button. This is a big design flaw in my opinion. When I am having my playtime, I like to increase the speed! Not decrease the speed! I was really disappointed with this feature. You have to press the button many more times to get back to where you were.

There are three steady vibration patterns: low, medium and high. There are seven total patterns to choose from. If you like patterns, this may work well for you. I’m not a fan of patterns, so they didn’t do anything exciting for me.

The bottom plastic compartment twists open to the side as pictured below.

Sphere takes two AAA batteries. The batteries are down the shaft of the vibrator. Make sure you look at the back of the package because it shows you which way to put the batteries in.
    • Discreet sound
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

Sphere is waterproof so cleaning is really easy. I wash mine in soap and water. I didn’t notice any water leakage in the compartment. You can use a wipe if you prefer. You can also wash silicone in a 10% beach solution. Even though silicone is sterilizable, don’t boil or put this toy in the dishwasher as it could ruin the motor.

I store mine in a plastic bag so nothing else eats away at it. Since Sphere is silicone, don’t use a silicone lubricant. I use water-based lubricants.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Sphere was placed in a clear plastic package. The front shows the vibrator and all of its features. It isn’t discreet.

The back of the package lists the all the vibration patterns. As I mentioned, it shows you which way to put the batteries in. It also includes a little informational booklet inside the package.

The Sphere did come with a little storage bag. I really didn’t like it. It’s a light purple color but it feels really cheaply made. It feels like a dryer sheet, it’s not very comfortable. It does stay closed fairly well, although if you shake it upside down the Sphere will fall out.

You can’t really reuse this package since it lists the toy everywhere. It is recyclable though!
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative

Personal comments

I rated this vibrator two stars out of five. If the buttons had been placed on the front of the toy and the settings were better placed, I would have rated this toy one star higher. If it weren’t silicone, I would rate it only one star. But, the silicone partly saves it. The combination of all the flaws left me frustrated. I wouldn’t recommend this toy. I really think the Sphere should be designed much better for its price.

Experience

I admit, I’m a clit of steel girl. I do need a lot of power to orgasm. After inserting the Sphere, I tried to have some fun with it. Even at the highest setting, it wasn’t powerful enough for me. I just kind of sat there for some time waiting for some excitement, none came unfortunately. I’ve used this toy a quite a few times, but it left me bored each time. I ended up reaching for a much more powerful vibe.
Follow-up commentary
I love the idea of the Sphere but the design and power didn't work for me. I wish the buttons weren't on the side!
