Grooooovie!!

For how small this vibe is I was really happy with the overall look and performance and would absolutely recommend it.

Use

I loved the look of this vibrator before I even opened the package! Its appealing look is great for beginners and advanced users alike. The Groovies Wave seems friendly before you ever start. With 8 speeds it can be used for vaginal insertion, clitoral stimulation or as a body massager. Not for anal as there is no base to stop it safely. It is small enough in diameter for even the first time user to use without any discomfort.

Material / Texture

The Groovies Wave is made of ABS plastic with a PU coating, and is Phthalate free. It is velvety to the touch which is very appealing to all users. It is non-porous which allows easy clean up. I noticed no smell at all. It is waved so the size varies down the shaft which adds to the appeal of the vibrator.

Design / Shape / Size

I was so excited when I first saw it. Mine is purple, and around the base it has BLING! Pink, purple and diamond colored stones that make it seem like it's special just for you. It is 5-1/2" long with 4-1/4" being insertable, 1" in diameter and has waves down the shaft. A more advanced user might like something larger but it does the trick just fine. It is small enough for easy storage to travel or to carry with you wherever you go.

It is waterproof, and yes I tested it. It uses 2 AAA batteries that are inserted at the bottom. It has a push button control at the bottom of the base. The best feature in my opinion is that is has 8 speeds:

5)-Long pulses
6)-Short pulses
7)Intense buzz *my personal favorite and...
8)Mixed patern.

The mixed pattern I probably could have lived without but there's a great variety indeed.

Care and Maintenance

The Groovies Wave is easy to care for. I keep all of my toys in the original packaging if it is possible. Be sure to remove batteries before storing. It's easy to clean with warm soapy water, and allow it to dry before you stash it away.

Packaging

It is packaged in a clear plastic container that includes instructions for basic functions, features, use and care. There aren't a lot of instructions but it's really self explanatory; just insert batteries and push the button until you reach the desired speed.

Personal comments

I personally love this vibe. It is soft, pretty and gets the job done very well. Even better if you use a finger vibe with it. Would be great as a gift for yourself or someone else as it is very friendly looking.

Experience

I have used it alone and with the help of a bullet massager for clitoral stimulation, and personally I am an avid fan of finger vibes or bullets but they probably wouldn't be necessary for a beginner to have a great climax.

    • Depends on what kind you are looking for (clitoral, g-spot, combination). I would suggest figuring out what kind you want. You can filter the product listings by that type and then sort by rating. Check out the reviews. If you can narrow it down to a few that you like, you can post a comparative discussion to the forum to get some additional feedback.

If you're just getting started, I would recommend any toy made up of a body-friendly material (such as silicone) and familiarize yourself with what toys are made of and the pros and cons of each type of material. The more hygienic materials tend to cost more, but they are worth it in the end because they will last longer and are more body-friendly.

  • Groovie Waves not working?
    • Are other people having problems with the Groovie Waves spontaneously quitting? I received it and attempted to use it as directed but I barely got it inserted before it sputtered twice and died. I've been doing my kegels but I don't think I'm THAT good yet ;) Just curious if others are having problems.
    • Mine worked fine.. hasn't given me any trouble and I've had it a couple of weeks. (knock on wood!) hehe!
    • Mine seems to be doing just dandy still :D
