I bought Jenna’s Velvet Jewels to use with my girlfriend, who is very intimidated by sex toys. I should start off by saying that I am a man and did not use this vibe on myself. I did however use it on my girlfriend who loves it so much she has asked to keep it! The vibe comes in a plastic display case that can be opened and resealed, but is not very convenient for storage because of its awkward and overly large shape. I just ended up throwing away the packaging and storing it in a dresser drawer.
The vibe seems well made, though the jewels leave me wondering how secure they are on the vibe simply because of the low cost. As of yet though, all jewels are still in place and make holding onto the vibe easier. Those little jewels are important for grip because this is a small vibe, roughly the size of highlighter but slightly shorter.
The vibe uses a single AA battery which is very convenient, because if worse comes to worse you can always steal a battery from a TV remote. Also having that size of a battery gives this guy a mighty punch. I was thoroughly impressed on how much Vroom this little guy had! Rotating the base adjusts the Vroom and it varies by how far you turn it. And as an added bonus the how thing is waterproof. Clean up is also a piece of cake with this bad boy, just use soap and water and your good to go.
As for performance I use this with my girlfriend when I perform oral sex on her or with her on top. She was very intimidated and unsure about introducing a sex toy into our relationship, and having me use it on her made her feel more comfortable with the idea. When I wrote my initial review for this vibe, I had used it with my girlfriend between 8 and 9 times. I figured that if this toy had managed to perform well that many times in a row that it was going to stay good consistently. But it seems that as of late my girlfriend and I have been having trouble with controlling the vibes speed dial. I find that because it is so short that you need to hold onto the speed dial to manipulate it, causing you to change the speed extremely from medium to off to full blast.
On a few occasions my girlfriend (whom doesn’t like full blast), is left numb and therefore cannot reach orgasm. It may be because we are not intimidated to use it anymore, and are getting too rough, or maybe it is because I am using it on her and I am not the one feeling the vibrations. Either way I feel that for partner use, if we plan on being anything other than timid and gentle, we need a different toy. Possibly one with a handle, or at least a longer shaft, so there is more to hold onto.
