Mia - vibrator by LELO - review by Waterfall

Mia is a high quality, rechargeable bullet-type vibrator by Lelo. It works best for external stimulation and can be used on the clitoris, nipples, penis, or balls depending on what you like. My personal favorite is clitoral stimulation, but when I want something my nipples will really be happy about then Mia is a great choice. It could possibly work for stimulating around the anus, however the small size and lack of a base makes this one very dangerous for internal use because it could easily get lost. Any user can have a great time with this one and it is pretty strong so most people will be more than happy. The only real down side is that it is not waterproof or splash proof so it shouldn't be used near water.

Mia is made out of ABS plastic and silicone which are both very safe and won't cause reactions in those sensitive to various chemicals. There is really no smell to the plastic material that this one is made out of. The buttons are silicone, and there is also a small ring (that feels like metal but might actually be plastic) that separates the body from the removable cap.

Mia is completely smooth with no texture. The smoothness works well for gliding it across or up and down my clitoris or nipples. Even though toys that provide a bit of a drag across the clitoris also feel really good, I like smoother toys because it is easy to vary the motions and no lube is necessary.

Mia is shaped kind of like a tube of lipstick and is about 4 inches in total length. This is a nice, discreet size and shape and can easily be put in a purse or even a pocket to take the fun on the go. It can also be hidden in my hand if I needed to walk away with Mia without anyone noticing. I doubt anyone will know what this is at fist glance.

Although not really made for insertion, you can tease the first inch of the vaginal opening because it has about 1.5 inches of insertable length. The small size also makes this one easy to hold onto during play and control the motion or direct stimulation exactly where you want it. The tip works well for pin point stimulation and because the cap also carries vibrations, this part can work for more broad stimulation.

I was not expecting as much power as I got from Mia. She definitely goes above and beyond what I expect from a bullet vibrator! The vibrations can be a little on the buzzy side on the higher levels, but I find that they are perfect for getting me to orgasm in no time. Even though Mia is strong, this one is very quiet. I was brave enough to use this while I visited home without the door all the way shut and there was no concern about anyone hearing me.

Using the + and - buttons, you can control the strength of the steady vibrations. It is very easy to control the speed of the vibrations with these buttons and I have no trouble adjusting them in the heat of the moment unless fluids get on them. From what I can tell there seems to be about 8 patterns of steady vibrations (although sometimes it is hard to tell). These vary in intensity and there is surely to be a level that everyone can enjoy. I find that I rarely use Mia on the higher levels because they are so strong. When you have Mia on the highest level and you are simply holding it in your hand, the vibrations will actually move the toy. This is a great indicator of the punch this one packs. After you get to the highest level, holding the + button down will take you to the 3 patterns. They are all pulsation patterns that vary in the speed of the pulses and pauses (short pulses, medium pulses, and faster pulses), and due to the fact that you are already at the higher level when you access them, they are also very strong.

One of my favorite features, aside from the great vibrations, is the fact that Mia is easily charged in the USB port on my computer! It simply looks like a type of external storage device when it is plugged in. I have had Mia for about a month and have only needed to charge her about 3 times (after the initial charge) because the charge lasts for a good amount of time. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge Mia.

Mia can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Due to the fact that Mia is not waterproof, or splash proof,it is important to make sure that you do not get water in the charging area. I usually use a wet cloth to wipe her off or spray the end I used with toy cleaner and wipe that off. Since I don't use this one internally it is very easy to keep clean.

I keep Mia stored in the small satin pouch that comes with this toy. It is nice and small and also makes it easier to keep this one hidden if you need to.

Use water based lubricants with Mia, because although the body is plastic, the buttons are silicone and you wouldn't want to damage them because then you would have no way to control your fun!

Like all other Lelo packaging, the packaging for Mia is very nice. It is a hard black box that has a molded plastic insert to hold Mia. Under this there is information about the 1 year warranty and 10 year guarantee as well as an instruction manual. Also included with Mia is a small satin storage pouch which I use for storage. Although the box is nice, you have to keep the cap separate from Mia (it has its own section) to store it in the molded insert and this bothers me a little for some reason.

Mia is one of those toys that I try to use for warm up but then end up orgasming from because it is so good at its job. I do use Mia for most warm ups before other toys, but when I use Mia alone it is a great time and I have really strong orgasms. There are plenty of other clitoral vibes on my wish list, but I have a hard time justifying buying them because Mia works so well for me and I am happy that I finally made this purchase!
