Not so delightful

Designed to target the clitoris and the G-spot simultaneously, the Delight by Fun Factory missed the mark, at least for me. While I can target both regions individually, I purchased this toy for its dual stimulation capabilities therefore I was ultimately disappointed. However if your G-spot is rather shallow, then you will probably enjoy this toy since it is unique and well constructed!

Pros
Light, charges discreetly in its own case, looks really cool.
Cons
Didn't hit clitoris and G-spot simultaneously, high levels are noisy.

Use

The Delight by Fun Factory was intended to be both an insertable vibrator (either vaginally or anally) and a clitoral vibrator. Specifically the Delight has a bump near the top of the insertable "shaft," which was made to stimulate the clitoris while the insertable tip is inside the vagina. I chose these words carefully because the alignment of this toy is dependent on the anatomy of the user. This toy assumes that the user's G-spot is relatively close to the vaginal opening. The tip of the Delight could also be used to stimulate the clitoris.

I cannot comment on using the Delight anally or for a prostate massage, however I have read many positive reviews on these topics. I would have no concerns using this toy anally because its curvature ensures that it won't get lost in the rectal cavity. But I would make sure to use a condom in this scenario since I don't think that this toy is bleach-able (can somebody check me on this?).

Material / Texture

The Delight is a combination of medical grade silicone and plastic. The silicone is firm yet somewhat pliable. This is either a positive or a negative depending on your personal preferences. I expected a firmer object (case in point the LELO Iris) so I was disappointed. The silicone is velvety smooth and a little firmer than the silicone found on the Sinniflut Intensity.

The outside of the handle of the Delight is plastic. I really like the presence of the two textures. The plastic makes this toy easy to grip, and the silicone ensures that this toy won't slip from your grasp. I also like the feeling of the plastic when it's vibrating. Sometimes I even hold that to my clit just for kicks. By the way, the bump that I mentioned above is made out of silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

Fun Factory gets a gold star for the design of the Delight. Even if the Delight doesn't fit everyone's anatomy, I think most would agree that the concept of a non-rabbit insertable silicone/plastic funky vibrator that simultaneously stimulates the clitoris and the g-spot is a very awesome idea! The curve at the top of the Delight is also excellent for rocking this 1 pound toy back and fourth inside (or outside) the vagina. I'm pretty lazy sometimes, so this is definitely a major plus! I hope that other companies will try to adapt and improve this model.

I would have liked to see the Delight come in different sizes or proportions. As it stands, the toy is 6" long with an insertable length of 4" and a diameter of 1 3/8". We all know that everybody's body is different. This toy will work well for those whose g-spots are relatively close to the vaginal opening. But for those like me, the Delight just won't work for g-spot stimulation. If the tip was 1/2" to 1" longer, I'd be very happy! Also, the bump for the clitoris doesn't come NEAR my clit. That needs to be about 1/2" -1" higher. Clearly the dimensions of this toy were not a match for my anatomy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Delight has 8 vibration levels and 3 pulsation modes. The vibration levels range from barely there to strong. I should note that the vibrations are much stronger in the tip than they are on the "clit bump." If you are looking for a strong clitoral vibrator, look elsewhere. The tip of the Delight could be used as a clitoral vibrator, but there are other better less expensive options for this type of stimulation. The pulsation modes range in speed from medium to fast to very fast. I really like these pulsation modes because the vibration never really stops (unlike the pulsation modes on the LELO Gigi. I love that vibrator. Can you tell?) it just increases and decreases. The pulsation is stylistically similar to the pulsation in the Sinniflut Intensity. Obviously the feeling of the vibrations is quite different due to the relatively small nature of the Delight, compared to the Intensity.

Switching between pulsation and vibration modes is very simple with the Delight. First hit the "plus" button to turn on the Delight. Then hit the plus and minus buttons to toggle between all eight levels. To reach the pulsation modes, hold the plus sign until the vibrator is at its highest vibration setting. Then press and hold the plus sign until the Delight starts to pulse. Remember there are three different pulsation modes. You can only cycle through the pulsation modes using the plus key. Hitting the minus key in the pulsation modes will change the vibration style back to constant (at its highest setting). The buttons are fairly large and easy to press. They are also illuminated with a red LED so you can see them in the dark! It is also unlikely that you will change the vibration of this toy unintentionally.

The Delight should be charged in its included case after use. Unlike other toys, the Delight charges via 2 strategically placed metal points. Through the magic of modern technology (aka I don't remember how this happens without my manual, and Fun Factory took this toy and its user manual off of its website so I can't even download the manual! I hope that this removal is temporary) the Delight uses these two points to power up. I've only used my Delight 3 or 4 times, and I have never worn down the battery so I cannot comment any further on this topic.

Care and Maintenance

The Delight should be charged in the included case for at least three hours or until the red blinking light on the controls stays lit. The blinking of this light is very subtle. I was expecting an "on/off" type of blink, but the speed of the blink was just very very slow.

To charge, plug the included cord into the back of the case and then into the wall. Since the Delight is completely enclosed in the charging case, charging this toy is very discreet. This toy would be an optimal rechargeable vibrator for travel.

Fun Factory recommends that you always store the Delight with a full battery to maximize performance. Since the Delight cannot be overcharged, I would recommend frequent charging with this toy. The Delight retains its charge very well when it is not in use, assuming you follow the directions in the manual.

I clean my Delight with soap and water. Though this toy is water resistant, it is not submersible. So don't try to boil it. Make sure to dry this toy carefully before returning it to its charging case. We don't want any electrical mishaps! As a precaution I always let my Delight air dry for about 20 minutes after a thorough paper-towel drying. This is my own little trick that I use with all of my rechargeable toys.

The Delight is not compatible with silicone lubricants because it contains silicone.

Packaging

The Delight is packaged like most other Fun Factory toys in a high quality cardboard box that have awesome magnetic flaps that open and close to reveal the beauty that is the Delight. I don't have this box anymore but I know that it contained just about anything you needed to know about the Delight. The box also contained a user manual which I mistakenly threw out (apparently). The user manual was very thorough. The usage directions were even printed in approximately 7 different languages! Again, I'm ball-parking this number because I don't have the actual manual. The manual and box also contained informative pictures, which helped me become acquainted with my new purchase.

Personal comments

I don't really have anything new to add here. I just want to remind everyone that this toy was crafted beautifully, it just didn't work for me. If were to rate this toy based on my personal preferences, I would have given it 2 stars because I love its design and the ingenuity behind its construction. For a toy that I (almost) never use, that's a very high rating!

I really want to try and make this toy work for me. If I could only make myself love it then I would only need to bring one vibrator when I travel! But I don't love this toy. With a decent amount of effort I can hit my G-spot fairly well, but I always reach for toys that make G-spotting easier.

Experience

I am sad to report that I really don't like my Delight. I tried. In fact, I still try. I pull out the Delight every so often and hope that this toy will magically line up with my body. I eluded to only using this toy 3-4 times, but what I didn't mention was that I got this toy months ago. To play devil's advocate, I know that it takes some time to really get used to and bond with a new sex toy. I tried everything I could think of to get it to like me! I took it out to dinner and a movie, dancing and I even bought it ice cream! Still no luck.

But seriously, if I got the insertable end to hit my g-spot (I had to force the toy in a little bit) then the clit part was wayyy off. And I need clitoral stimulation to orgasm. I was able to use the lower end of the body of the toy to stimulate my clit, but it wasn't enough. I really didn't like this toy. The Delight is a case of "great design - poor execution," at least in my case. I would like to stress that if you think from the dimensions and pictures that this toy would be a good fit for your body, you should seriously consider investing in this product. The Delight is made beautifully and I'm sure that it will last a long time (especially if you use it as frequently as I do...). And there are many other positive reviews on both Eden Fantasys and the internet.

I was able to orgasm by placing the insertable tip on my clit, but it did take a lot of effort because the vibration was just not right for me. I can't really explain why it didn't work easily, it just felt off. Also the vibrations after level 5 were significantly louder than the lighter vibrations. I should note that even though the vibrations were strong, they felt somewhat dampened when placed against my clit or fingertip and I can't figure out why. I think the vibrations from this toy were designed to be transferred internally rather than externally. You also might not like using the Delight externally if you have a sensitive clitoris.
Follow-up commentary
I never use this toy. I tried again and although it was actually pretty nice, I don't really like it. I'm sure it will make a nice, but expensive, Christmas tree ornament.

I've had my doubts about this one's ability to hit both spots at the same time. I never could figure out how exactly that would work. Good to know, I was probably right.

    Great review!

I had the SAME problem and gripes about this toy. I don't know why it's billed as dual stimulation. No way.

I'm glad that I'm not alone! This toy wins my award for biggest disappointment. It's the only toy in my drawer that I really don't use. And when I give it a chance, I'm (surprise) disappointed.

I've always wanted to try this toy, as my g-spot is quite close to my vaginal opening. Thank you for including this little tidbit, otherwise I wouldn't have even considered it. I'm very sorry that it didn't work out for you, but thanks for the review!

No problem! You might want to look at Sex Lies and Prelaw's review of the new Click-n-Charge delight since she loved it.
