Travel vibes Ipanema - discreet massager discontinued by Evolved Novelties - review by Jobthingy

Ok, so it doesn't walk. It would be kind of cool if it did. And creepy. But that is beside the point.

The Ipanema by Evolved's line of travel vibes is a great little toy. It is compact, easy to use, easy to store, and quiet. It is an excellent external stimulator for all your bits. Internally, if you have a shallow, easily accessible G-spot its bulbous head could hit it with ease. Mine is not so shallow so I did not get much from using it this way.

It is small enough to slide between bodies for added stimulation during penetrative sex. At the same time it is easy enough to handle that it can be paired up with your favorite dildo for some added fun during alone time.

I would warn about using this for anal insertion. It is small and could easily be sucked into the point of no return. No one wants that.

The Ipanema is made from smooth PU coated plastic and comes in pink and purple. I have the purple myself. PU coated plastic is Phthalates and latex free and body safe. It is also compatible with either water or silicone based lube. It has very little drag so if you need any lube at all, it won’t be much.

It had no smell or taste coming out of the package.

The bulbous head is smooth. There is a faint seam running along it but it in no way is felt while playing. On one side of the neck (for lack of a better word), there are 5 slightly raised ridges.

It is a total of 4.5 inches long. The head portion is 4.25 inches in circumference and the shaft is 3. It has an insertable length of just a hair under 3 inches. You can store it just about anywhere and it plays well with other toys of its kind. It could also be stashed in a purse for fun on the go.

The shape of this is whimsical and fun. It reminds me of a little, fat-headed worm. I want to just stick googly eyes on it and stick it in a potted plant.

The vibrations from this toy are located at the head and they are controlled by a single push button at the base. Push it on at around a medium setting, then push again for a high, and one more time back to off. The vibrations are buzzy but not so much so that you will be numb in no time. The plastic seems to diffuse them fairly well. It only uses a single AA battery, which is always a plus.

It is quiet and I could not really hear it at all after I put it under my duvet. It is completely waterproof and passed my sink full of water test.

The Ipanema cleans up easily with warm water and soap or your favorite toy cleaner. Plastic is non-porous but cannot easily be disinfected so use caution if sharing. You can store it in the handy tube it comes in, or just toss it in a drawer. It is a very low maintenance toy.

Like all Evolved products, the Ipanema comes in fun packaging. A small plastic tube contains the toy. You can certainly keep it for storage because it is not unnecessarily bulky. It is decorated with flowers and other than the Evolved logo, website, and toy name, it tells you all of the important information like that it is waterproof, multi-speed, and brief points about the material.

My love for all things Evolved grows with every purchase. This one is no exception. A fun little toy keeps me all kinds of happy. Easy to reach for, easy to hold, and it keeps me quite satisfied whether it be on its own or paired up.
