Sweet Music

The Symphony Opus is a powerful little guy who's full of texture. With the bullet in the tip, this toy has a wide variety of uses. Great packaging, powerful vibrations, and a nice thick o-ring to keep it waterproof make this toy a great one add to or start your collection.

Use

The Symphony Opus from Evolved Novelties is a wonderful toy with a lot of different uses. It's main purpose is for g-spot stimulation (which it does an amazing job at) but the Opus is also a great clit and nipple stimulator because of the location of the bullet in the tip. The power spreads out nicely through the shaft but it's the strongest at the tip, giving it an extra little something right where you need it.

Beginners and advance users will both find enjoyment with the Opus. Because of the gradual increase in girth, beginners will be able to insert as much or as little as they need. The Opus also offers a non-threatening experience in texture. There are bumps all over the surface of the toy but the flexibility and give are great for texture newbies. Advanced users might be a little bored with the size but the texture and bullet in the tip will really spice things up.

Even though the design could be great for hitting the p-spot, the Opus is not recomended for anal use because of the lack of a flared base. If using it for anal insertion be sure to take extreme caution and use a condom.

Material / Texture

The Opus is made out of TPR, which is a slightly porous material. It has a very light plastic smell when you put it right up under your nose but after a couple of washings it fades away. There is no taste to the Opus. TPR has a lot of drag, so lube is recommended. Also, the Opus likes to attract lint and hairs so be sure to wash it before and after uses.

The entire section in between the battery pack and moter in the tip bends every which way, and is very squishy. The feeling of it is similar to a jelly toy.

If you're new to texture or already know you love it, the Opus is a great choice. The entire length is covered with bumps and dips that feel wonderful.

Design / Shape / Size

With a 6" insertable length and a 5 1/2" circumference at it's widest point, the Opus is ho-hum for size queens but can seem a bit intimidating at first if you're a beginner. However, the give of the TPR and gradual increase in width make this toy perfect for someone looking into getting used to larger toys. There are three different sections to the insertable length of the Opus. If it's your first time using a toy of this size, just inserting the first or first two portions is enjoyable and eventually you'll be able to work up to the last one.

The shape and flexibility of the Opus creates wonderful g-spot stimulation. I find it works best when thrusting. The small bump that's near the tip rubs back and forth across the g-spot. However, if you need something that would hit the g-spot point on, I'd suggest a toy with a more defined g-spot curve.

It's a rather large toy, 8 1/10" total, so it's not exactly discreet. I've found with the awesome packaging I can hide this little guy rather easily in my dresser under clothes.

Functions / Performance / Controls

When I first got the Opus, I was worried that I'd be going though AAs (which are not included in the package) like crazy. Surprisingly, two weeks and a couple of play hours later, my first set of batteries are still holding up nicely. With cheap battery run vibes I've used in the past I noticed that the power of the vibrations dropped after only an hour or two but that hasn't happened with the Opus. Just be sure to take the batteries out of the toy when storing it.

A tiny little button at the bottom of the Opus turns it on and off and also scrolls through the three power settings. This button is really easy to press but sometimes can be accidently hit during use, which is a downer if you're already on the highest setting and it gets turned off.

All of the settings can be heard through covers and the highest setting might be heard through a closed door if you have thin walls. The highest setting almost sounds like an electronic blood pressure machine to me.

For just running on two AAs the vibrations are actually pretty awesome. They're not supper buzzy but not really rumbly either, almost a cross between both. The first setting gets me into the mood and the second two are both enough to finish me off, depending on how much vibration I need that day. This isn't a power house but it's still pretty strong.

My favorite part about the Opus is that it's waterproof. Not only does this make cleaning a breeze but taking it into the shower is amazing. I've yet to try it out in the tub but based on how well it's held up for cleanings and in the shower I'm sure it'd be fine.
    • Easy to use
    • Long lasting power
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

TPR is super easy to care for and because the Opus is waterproof it makes clean up that much easier. Wash it with warm water and soap or use a toy cleaner and you're done. Just make sure to remember that sometimes TPR can hold scents, so an unscented soap is best. When clean up is over I usually just put the Opus back into the box it was packaged in to keep lint and hairs away. Also, be sure to store separetly from other soft toys (other TPRs, jellys, ect) to make sure they don't react with each other.

Remember, TPR is slightly porous and can not be disinfected, so be sure to use a condom if sharing.

The Opus has a good amount of drag but it can be used with your favorite water or silicone based lube. I find that even when I am naturally wet enough for penetration, the drag that the Opus has is just too painful without lube, so I really recommend it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

I really love the tin box the Opus comes in. It's perfect for gift giving and storage. The only problem I have with the packaging is the lack of instructions. Even though the Opus is really easy to use, a little more information on usage would be nice.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet
    • Would make a nice gift
