Totally Groovy, Man!
While this isn't the best toy I have ever used it is a pretty great toy that has earned it's place in my bedside table. I love the final set of variations because it is so very different from any other toy I own.If you need a toy with powerfully felt vibrations this probably isn't the toy for you, but if you want something that is unassuming and really pretty I recommend checking this one out!

Pros:
Small, light, unassuming, quality manufacturing, nice bling
Cons:
Eats batteries pretty quickly, might not be powerful enough for some
I wasn't sure what I would be getting when I accepted the Groovies Wave by Shaki Toys as a promotion. I figured I could give it an honest review and possibly find it a good home if it was of high enough quality. Besides, it appealed to the girl in me with it's pretty shape and shiny gems. I expected the toy to be a traditional three speed with little to offer someone as experienced as myself, arrogant assumption and I was thoroughly humbled!
The Groovies Wave is covered in a lovely velvety plastic that is sensual enough that I found myself wanting to touch and stroke it. The waves feel amazing and would make this toy special without any other features, but this toy doesn't stop at lovely skin and graceful waves, oh no, Shaki Toys adds a great set of vibrations and patterns! The toy measures in at 5.5 inches with roughly 4.25 inches being insertable. This is a slim toy with only a 3.25 inch circumference, perfect for slipping into a pillowcase, pocketbook or travel case.
The bottom of the toy unscrews to reveal the battery housing which is lined with a paper buffer to prevent the battery from rattling about. This paper has a picture of a battery on it clearly showing how the AA battery is supposed to be inserted. There is also a plastic O ring making the toy waterproof rather than just splash proof. Right, once again my assumptions are turned upside down!
During the testing phase of my review I dunked the toy repeatedly in a sink full of water, I've washed it in running water several dozen times and I have used it in the shower. I have never seen any evidence that water is leaking into the toy either from the threads of the screw or around the push button controls.
The push button control is a flattened disk on the end of the toy. This is another toy that you have to click through all the speeds before it will turn off but it is also very quiet which sort of balances out the annoyance. At any rate I'll give you a basic run down of the speeds:
*First press gives a medium intensity straight vibration that carries throught the entire toy but is most intense at the tip. It is very surface felt vibrations and sort of medium pitched.
*Second press gives a higher strength and a touch higher vibrational strength. The vibrations are still felt most easily in the tip of the toy and on the surface.
*Third press gives a much higher strength and higher pitched vibration that could cause numbness or burning for the most sensitive clitorises but won't, more than likely, be enough for the clits-O-steel. It is buzzy and still felt most easily in the tip of the toy but carries through the toy to the base.
*Fourth press gives the first pattern of vibration. It is an escalating rollercoaster type of pattern that starts low and ends high before starting all over again.
*Fifth press gives the second pattern of vibration. It is a short series of pulses and is a sort of medium strength and intensity.
*Sixth press gives a faster pulsing that oddly enough feels weaker in intensity. It is easiest felt in the tip of the toy but resonates through the entire shaft.
*Seventh press gives a return to the straight vibration but the vibrations are more focused at the tip of the toy giving a pinpoint type experience. It seems to be a repeat of the second level of vibration in terms of intensity.
*Eighth press gives the most unique pattern I have ever felt in a small toy! It is a combination of everything that has gone on before in a seemingly random pattern. It's bordering on strong vibrations but still pretty gentle.
Finally at nine presses the vibrator turns off.
This isn't a long toy so it's unlikely that it will cause bruising or discomfort even with vigorous thrusting. Given the small slim size of this toy it is certainly not safe for anal insertion.
It is made of hard plastic but still slightly porous so use a condom if you plan to share the toy.
The toy can be washed with warm water and mild soap, a commercial toy cleaner or a 10% bleach and water solution. You might want to pay a bit of attention to the little gems at the base of the toy as they can build up body fluids.

Cute, evenly textured and silky smooth this is a workhorse type vibe with a stylish feminine look. The vibes aren't spectacular but they will do the trick for the majority of women. After all this time it still purrs sweetly and has the bling factor that a girl needs sometimes!

what is the best vibrator??
-
Depends on what kind you are looking for (clitoral, g-spot, combination). I would suggest figuring out what kind you want. You can filter the product listings by that type and then sort by rating. Check out the reviews. If you can narrow it down to a few that you like, you can post a comparative discussion to the forum to get some additional feedback.

That's a really vague question. If you're just getting started, I would recommend any toy made up of a body-friendly material (such as silicone) and familiarize yourself with what toys are made of and the pros and cons of each type of material. The more hygienic materials tend to cost more, but they are worth it in the end because they will last longer and are more body-friendly.
What do you like in the way of toys? If you're not sure, the "vibrators" section of EdenFantasys will allow you to choose from and narrow your selection down to dual-action vibes, clitoral stimulators, anal vibrators, double penetration vibes, and a lot more. If you want the site to show you only toys made of a certain material or of a certain length, you can do that, too.
The concept of a "best vibrator" is highly subjective. What works for me may not (and likely won't) work for you. Read reviews before you buy, and hopefully you'll find the best vibe for you.

Groovie Waves not working?
-
Are other people having problems with the Groovie Waves spontaneously quitting? I received it and attempted to use it as directed but I barely got it inserted before it sputtered twice and died. I've been doing my kegels but I don't think I'm THAT good yet ;) Just curious if others are having problems.

Mine worked fine.. hasn't given me any trouble and I've had it a couple of weeks. (knock on wood!) hehe!

Mine seems to be doing just dandy still :D

Thank you for viewing Groovies wave – traditional vibrator review page!

I wasn't very fond of mine, but I'm glad you liked yours
Good review. I have one of these, but I've never actually used it. I think it was a free gift or something.
Another good review, thank you.
