Very Sweet Kisses

I love the fact that this is rechargeable but if you’re expecting a strong vibrator, this will not deliver. It’s discreet design and compactability would make this a great travel companion.

Use

Kandi Burruss from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" has teamed up with OhMiBod to create a line of toys called Bedroom Kandi. The Kandi Kisses is a discreet vibrator meant to look like a lipstick. It’s best used for external stimulation but can be used for shallow vaginal penetration.

It is only splash-proof so I recommend against using it in the shower and bath. It is also rechargeable, being eco-friendly as rechargeable toys reduce the number of batteries that end up in the landfill.

Material / Texture

Kandi Kisses is made of plastic and silicone. The pink portion is silicone and the plastic is black. There is a lid to cover the silicone portion for discreetness and so it won’t get dirty.

Silicone ranks a 10 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale and plastic rates an 8 out of 10. Both are non-porous and body safe materials.

The entire toy is completely smooth accept for the diamond like pattern on the base of the vibrator. It has no seams or rough edges to worry about.

Design / Shape / Size

This is a really discreet toy. If someone were to just glance at it in your bag or purse, they wouldn’t immediately tell that it’s a sex toy. It has an overall length of 3 ¾” with the silicone portion being 2 ½” insertable which has a small circumference of 3”.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or an advanced user, I think this toy would appeal to a variety of users. However, it is most definitely beginner friendly.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Kandi Kisses is amazingly quiet. It reminds me of the We-Vibe Tango but the vibrations on this toy are much more buzzy and not as strong. No one would be able to hear this through a closed door which is nice.

There is only one button that turns the toy on and off and cycles through the vibration patterns. Hold it down for a couple of seconds to turn it on and press to change modes. The patterns are:
1. Low steady vibration (2 vrooms);
2. Medium vibration (low 3 vrooms);
3. High steady vibration (high 3 vrooms);
4. Escallation from low to high;
5. Long pulsations;
6. Fast pulsations;
7. Short-short-long pulsation pattern.
Holding the button down for a couple of seconds will turn the toy off. Very convenient and simple.

The Kandi Kisses has a lithium-ion battery and it charges through the included USB adapter which you connect to the port on your computer. The other end of the adapter connects to the base of the vibrator next to the button but the hole is not visible until you start pushing the needle end in. It takes two hours to charge which will give you up to three hours of play time. It has a standby charge for 60 days and arrived already charged and I would recommend charging it before using anyway so you don’t run out of power. It doesn’t blink or glow while charging so there’s no telling when the battery is completely full. Also, don’t use the toy while it’s charging.

Care and Maintenance

As mentioned before this toy is splash-proof but it is not difficult to clean. Simply wash it gently with water and soap or a good toy cleaner. Do not boil it or place it in the dishwasher but it can be wiped down with a 10 percent bleach solution to sterilize.

Only use water based lubricants as silicone lubes could potentially bond with the material and cause it to become tacky. Since it’s so small it can basically be stored anywhere. I think over time the lid could easily crack since it’s made of thin plastic but overall the toy seems well-made.

Packaging

The packaging was really nice and works well for storage. The outer box has some product information with a brief summary of the toy’s best features. Then inside is a sturdier box which is really handy for storage. It contains the USB adapter, user manual, and the vibrator itself wrapped in plastic. This toy also has a one-year warranty against defects so keep your receipt handy in case anything goes wrong.

Experience

I wanted this toy for a really long time so I finally gave in and purchased it. It didn’t blow me away, but then again I’m spoiled with my We-Vibe Tango. The vibrations on the Kandi Kisses are a bit too buzzy and not strong enough for me. I love a toy that is small and discreet like this, but if it can’t get me off, I won’t be that happy with it.
Follow-up commentary
I didn't really enjoy the buzzy vibrations so I ended up selling this toy. It's a fun little vibe but just wasn't for me.

    Thank you for the review. Seems the vibrations are similar in all the OhMiBod products; all are quite buzzy. My first expensive vibrator was NaughtiBod; another buzzy toy. I think buzzy is really good for beginners, but once you've had something rumbly buzzy no longer does it! Anyway... blabber... blabber... thank you for the review.

    Eh I dislike the buzziness. Really the only appeal to this is the USB and cute look. I'll pass. Thanks!

    Sorry you didn't like it so much you ended up selling it, at least you know now not to get so buzzy toys.
