We have mixed feelings about this one

This girthy vibrator from Jopen features a thick tip for G-spot or clitoral stimulation. Offering a range of different settings to choose from, this vibrator will be best enjoyed by those who love pattern settings and desire vibrations that are moderate in strength.

Use

The Ceres G Spot is a moderately large silicone vibrator by the Jopen company. As the name indicates, it can be used to stimulate the G spot, but it is also effective as clit vibrator or for teasing any external area. Because of its shape, this may not be very well suited as an anal toy, and lacks a flared base anyway. It's long enough that it's not likely to get lost, but if you do choose to use it anally, be sure to keep a good grip on the handle and use at your own risk. There are toys out there that are much better suited for anal play, however, so you would probably be better off skipping this one for that purpose.

It's generously sized, so external use during intercourse would be difficult, and this toy would likely get in the way. A smaller toy would be much better suited for this purpose. This is definitely more suitable as a solo toy.

It is waterproof and would make a nice shower toy. It's also very quiet, so it's a great toy for shared living situations where discretion is important.

This toy's best use would be for more advanced users who only need a very moderate level of vibrations. It would also be good for pattern lovers, as this toy has seven different vibrating functions.

Material / Texture

The Ceres G Spot is made of 100% silicone with a matte texture. It is supple and silky to the touch, and moderately squishy. Silicone is a nonporous material that rates a perfect 10/10 on the Eden safety scale, making this a very body-friendly material. The toy does not have a smell at all and I elect not to sample my vibrators for taste.

The core of this toy is hard plastic, meaning it is rigid except for the tip, which is capable of bending slightly. The toy is completely smooth, except for a small ridge where the tip curves upward and another small ridge just above the handle, but this appears to be more for aesthetic appeal as they cannot be felt when inserted.

The base of the toy is hard plastic, which is slightly darker in color than the body of the toy and has a shiny, almost transparent, appearance. The push button, which is used to scroll through the settings, is made of stainless steel alloy.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy has a smooth, straight shaft that flares and curves into a tip for G-spot stimulation. The overall length is 7-1/2" long, and 5-1/2" of that are insertable. The shaft is approximately 1-1/8" in diameter, and it is 1-1/2" in diameter at the widest point, which is at the tip.

The tip is very blunt, which can make insertion fairly difficult, and lube is a must for this one. Because of the lack of a sufficient taper at the tip, this toy may not be well-suited for beginners. The tip curves upward slightly from the shaft and balloons outward, which allows concentrated pressure on the G-spot. Those who require a very severely curved toy for G-spot pressure may not find this suitable, but most should experience G-spot stimulation from this toy.

The plastic handle is also very smooth and becomes slippery if lube is applied to it (accidentally or on purpose). The cap, however, is easy to twist on and off, and has a good seal for use in the shower or tub. The design is neither discreet nor particularly suited for travel, as it isn't small. You could travel with it, you'll just want to make sure that you take the batteries out first as there is no locking mechanism, so the toy could turn itself on accidentally.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Ceres G Spot is operated by the metal push button on the bottom of the base. It takes two AA batteries, which are inserted into the battery compartment at the base of the toy. Clicking it one time turns the toy on to the first setting, which is just a straight vibration. Clicking it again allows you to cycle through the different settings. The toy has just one speed setting, which is about 3 vrooms. It was sufficient for me in order to get off, but those who require stronger toys may find this disappointing.

The vibrations are pleasantly rumbly, but rather than multiple speeds, there are seven patterns that are all approximately the same intensity. The different patterns you can choose from are:

1. High - Moderate vibrations
2. High 2 - Fast pulses
3. Wave - Slower, undulating pulses
4. Pulse - On and off pulses
5. Throb - Alternating long pulses and short pulses
6. Flutter - Slightly different fast pulses, almost like drumming
7. Tease - Higher and lower alternating pulses

The motor for this toy is located in the tip, but the vibrations do carry all the way to the base, albeit in noticeably weaker intensity. They cannot be felt very strongly in the handle, however, which is nice so that your hand doesn't go numb while holding it. The vibrations are more diffused rather than pinpointed, which can be nice if you like broader stimulation.

Holding down the push button for two seconds shuts the toy off, and when it's turned on again, it returns to the first setting. The button can be pressed accidentally pretty easily, and the control mechanism does not have a lock, meaning you will need to scroll through to find your preferred setting again.
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is a very easy to care for material. You should use water-based lubricants with this toy, as silicone lubricants will damage it. It is easy to clean, since it is smooth without many grooves to trap bacteria. You can clean this toy with warm water and mild soap, a 10% bleach solution, or your favorite toy cleaner. It shouldn't be boiled or put in the dishwasher because of the electrical components.

It shouldn't be stored with other silicone-containing toys. Storing it next to other 100% pure, high grade silicone toys should be fine, but if you're unsure, keep them separate. Storage bags are your friends.

Packaging

This comes in an attractive box, which is comprised of several parts. There is an outer sleeve, in which you will find an inner box that kind of opens like a book. Inside the inner box is a foam insert which holds the toy in place. You'll also find a storage bag and instruction manual. There is a lot of packaging with this toy, but it is recyclable. This would make a lovely gift for a fellow toy lover.

    • Recyclable
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

While I thought this toy was just average, my partner loved it. She prefers broader stimulation rather than pinpointed, and found the curved tip great for clitoral stimulation. The overall score I gave this toy is a composite of my three star rating and her five star rating. She says this is her new favorite toy for clit stimulation.
