I was delighted to be reviewing the 4US cock Ring from Rocks off. I have had previous experience with their products (the “Rude Boy” prostate massager as well as the RO80mm bullet) and have always been pretty happy with them.



-Packaging-

The packaging of the 4US is similar in style to the Rude Boy. It is a heavy cardboard on the back and sides with a viewing window on the lid. The finish is somewhat like vinyl. It feels pretty sturdy and isn’t likely to be crushed or crumpled easily. There is a label on the back that mentions the toy is 100% waterproof as well as showing a diagram on how to use the product. The lid opens off to one side but is connected to the main box by a cardboard hinge so it won’t get lost. All in all it has really nice packaging that is free from any pornographic images or phrases.



Inside the toy is held in place by a moulded plastic insert. Included in the packaging is a booklet that features a range of Rocks Off toys as well as some basic instructions on changing the battery.

-Material/Specifications-

The shape of the toy is quite different from cock rings I have tried in the past. Rather than having the bullet/vibrator unit sit horizontally to the ring it is vertically reaching out from the toy, perpendicular to the ring itself. The main body of the ring is made from a material called “Intramed”. This is a material specially developed by Rocks Off. It is a specially formulated thermoplastic that shares many of the same features as silicone. It is medical grade, hypo-allergenic, non-porous and phthalate free. It has a very similar feel to silicone having a bit of drag to it. The material is completely odourless and tasteless.

The stimulation is provided by a removable RO80mm bullet. Having had prior experience with this I know they are quite powerful and last a long time. The bullet is powered by a single N battery which is included. This is great as it means you can use it straight out of the box. Additionally N batteries are not as widely available as double or triple A’s. They are used in camera flashes so if you need to purchase a replacement you can likely get one in a camera shop.



The overall dimensions of the toy are as follows.

Overall length = 5 ½ Inches
Internal diameter (idle) = 1 ¼ Inches
Internal diameter (stretched) = 2 - 2 ¼ Inches


-Use-

As I mentioned the material has a little drag to it so you might want to use some lubricant. You can use either water or silicone based lubes with Intramed but oil based lubricants are not suitable for this material.

If you are wearing it purely as a masturbatory aide then you can position it so the bullet rests against your testicles. It can also be worn with the vibrator facing up as an intercourse aide. It is a sturdy piece and quite unlike any other cock ring I have tried. It has a noticeable weight to it so you can feel it sitting on you even with the bullet off.



The functionality is very simple. You press the button on the base of the bullet to turn it on and then press it again to turn it off. There are no variable speeds just a powerful bullet. The button is coasted in a soft rubber material so it isn’t uncomfortable on the fingertips. The vibrations are quite intense for a small toy. They are still the “buzz” kind of vibration but about as strong as you can get with a bullet. The ring was a good fit for me but if you are on the slim side or even the very girthy it might be a little loose/tight on you. The extra bit of material allows for some stretch but not a lot.

-Care/Storage-

As the bullet is removable, cleaning is very easy. What I find works best is warm soap and a mild antibacterial soap or specialist toy cleaner. If you want to give it a through clean you can wash it in a 10% bleach solution but as it is non-porous and purely an external use toy this is largely unnecessary.

While I did mention the packaging was decent I found it to be a little bit big to store the toy long term. The best solution my partner and I have found for toy storage is a zip-seal sandwich bag. They are cheap, air tight and keep the toy free from dust and dirt. More importantly they keep other toys from reacting with it. If you are storing the toy long term, make sure that you remove the battery as they can leak and damage the inside of the bullet. Also make sure the toy is dry before putting it away.

-Summary-

Overall I was quite pleased with the 4US. It is made from a great material and as the bullet i removable it is very easy to clean. The bullet itself works well. The vibrations are strong and project well through the toy with little loss of intensity. The material is great, it has all the major advantages of silicone and you can scarcely tell the difference. Additionally the material is more easily recycled and so more environmentally friendly.

If I have any qualms with the toy it would probably that it is very firm. It is not a huge problem but just a little unforgiving in terms of fit. If you have ever tried a disposable cock ring and thought you would like to upgrade then I can safely say you should try this toy. The strong vibrations make it great for solo or couples play.
