Use

The Jack Master masturbation sleeve by California Exotic Novelties is a handheld masturbation sleeve. It comes in either Blue or Red. This toy was designed to function as a solo masturbation device but it's also fun to use with a partner.

The idea is that the toy is sort of a two-in-one because the outer plastic also serves as a protective case. The inner sleeve does not function by itself, the case is needed for use. It is similar to a fleshlight in that it is a masturbation sleeve that is inside of plastic case that also provides a cap for protecting the inner sleeve.

The best way to use this toy is to apply some lubricant into the chamber and close the case before inserting your penis. The material is soft and squishy and a moderate amount of lubricant goes a long way.

Material / Texture

The material on the inside is TPR (also known as TPE). It is more porous than silicone and it is recommended to use a condom if sharing this toy. TPR cannot be sterilized with boiling water. The TPR material exudes a light chemical smell which I hope goes away after repeated washings.

The TPR material is very textured and is different on both sides. There are many grooves, ridges, ribs and nubs throughout the material. We like the material because it's soft, pliable and the nubs and ribs definitely provide pleasurable sensation.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The TPR sleeve is inside of a hard plastic case. The plastic case has two latches and you pull it apart while lifting slightly to open. The sleeve is in two parts, one on each side of the chamber. The case does not have an open end which is beneficial for those who like to feel something touch the tip of their penis as they thrust into it.

This toy would be a good fit for average users and could be used by above average users as well because the TPR expands to allow for a larger girth. Although this masturbator doesn't scream "sex toy!" it is large and bulky so it may not be suitable for travel.

Despite the large size of this toy, it's still easy to manipulate and use. The size of the toy surprised me, I wasn't expecting something so large because the previous masturbator sleeve that we ordered was really small.

The measurements of this toy are:
7.25” x 3.75”/18 cm x 10 cm (case)
6.5” x 3.75”/17 cm x 10 cm (sleeve)

The first thing that I noticed about the toy is how heavy it is. My husband estimated about 1 pound, and his guess was confirmed when we weighed it. The description on EF states that it weighs 1.5 pounds so perhaps our scale is off. It is certainly a hefty device and I can imagine it lasting awhile as long as the TPR material (which we have no previous experience with) is durable.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy offers a flexi-grip design to allow the user to control pressure during use. The TPR sleeve is exposed on both sides but there is also a section of plastic that makes it easier to grip in order to increase and decrease pressure with your fingertips. This would be more noticeable on average size users that need to add more pressure and firmness to the device.

The TPR material also has many ridges and nubs inside that stimulate the penis. There is also a noticeable ridge (or ring) near the opening that adds enjoyable stimulation towards the tip of the penis as you thrust in and out. A small amount of suction is created, which actually makes for a pretty noisy ride. You could definitely hear "squishy" sounds as the toy was being used, but the noises weren't to the point of being distracting or bothersome.

The only problem that we found while using this device is that the case kept popping open. It popped open literally over 10 times during use. My husband noticed that the open design allowed the TPR sleeve to expand some, and he thinks that if it weren't for that, it would have popped open even more. It may be that he is slightly too large for the sleeve or the design is faulty.

My husband has a larger girth but he still founds this toy enjoyable since the inner material expands through the open design. If you are wanting a masturbator that can expand as well as tighten, this toy will serve that purpose. The slipinside sleeve we tried previously was much too tight and did not provide very much stimulation.

Care and Maintenance

You can use both silicone and water-based lubricant with this product. To clean this product, open the case and use warm water and soap. It cleans very easily. If necessary, the TPR sleeve can be removed to clean it more thoroughly. The plastic case also acts as a storage device and it comes with a cap to keep dust and lint away.

Packaging

The toy is packaged inside of a box. There were no instructions included. Since the masturbator has a plastic case and cap, the box does not need to be used as a storage device. The box does have a picture of the product and says "JackMaster : Premium self-contained masturbator", as well as a few other descriptions of the material. It also states that the toy is not to be used internally (not that you could insert it, sans pain, into any orifice of the body).

Personal comments

My husband mentioned that it looks like a lamp, which started a discussion on how it actually does look like a lantern. He seems to think that if someone found it in your car (which I doubt would be a recommended place to store it, the TPR material would probably melt under heat), that they would assume it was an emergency light. Since the case is blue and the center is clear, it really does look like it could be a lamp or lantern. If someone felt it though, they would wonder why the clear part is squishy and soft :)

Experience

My husband first squirted some lubricant into the chamber before closing it. He inserted his penis into the toy and began to move the toy up and down. Unfortunately, it started to pop open and we tried to figure out what was causing that. The device was closed completely and securely, but the up and down motions caused it to pop open repeatedly during use.

He found the best way to use this toy is to lean on the bed (doggy style) and prop the device against the bed. He was able to thrust into it and it was very enjoyable. This also allows for pegging or any other types of anal play. We found that the case still won't stay shut even in this position. Also, this is not a hands-free position. You still have to have one hand on the toy to make sure it stays in place. I also found it easy to control this device to use it on my husband. The case is easy to grip and I found it much easier to use than the previous sleeve that we tried.

My husband also wanted to note that the package says "better than the real thing!" but that is no where near being true. He said it feels good. and is a fun toy to play with from time to time, but it doesn't feel anything like vaginal sex. It has a sensation of its own, which is pleasurable, but it's not comparable to sex. It's just a fun toy that adds variety to life!

Even though the case doesn't stay shut properly, we'll still continue to use this toy. It's pretty easy to close the case again and it doesn't take so much time or effort that it ruins the experience. My husband's brain is at work to see if it can be rigged in some way to stay shut properly during use.
Follow-up commentary
The compartment won't stop popping open during use. We've stopped using it. It was easier to ignore that flaw when we first tried this toy but now it's just not effective.

EF doesn't show an end view, so I'm curious as to how close the plastic sides are to the insertion hole? In other words, do you have to be careful not to scrape his privates on the edges when using it?

You might want to try one of those plastic "zip straps" to hold it shut. Guys probably know the correct name for those things, but it's the little plastic bands that you pull to tighten, and then snip off when done.

No, there is no way to scrape against the edges of the plastic part. I wish Eden showed an end view. After you remove the cap, you see that the TPR material for the insertion hole is quite thick, much like the fleshlights. The plastic case is tapered away and smoothed near the edges of the TPR material. Even if it wasn't, the TPR material covers a wide enough area. You can actually go to the Cal Exotics web site to see an end view. Unfortunately, the way the web site is setup I can't actually link directly to that toy.

Well, TPR can melt so I can't say that I'd recommend it. You could try running it under warm water before use. In fact, we'll try that next time we use it and update.

Sounds like a great toy - hope they find a way to keep it closed. A similar product, the Flip Hole, is similar but has a very good design that stays closed.
