I understand all the hype.

This book is like the saying your Mother or Father taught you as a child. "If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?" Yes, I just compared reading 50 Shades of Grey to jumping off a bridge. Just because your friends are doing it, doesn't mean you should too. If you do, you will be equally as hooked on the story as your friends.

Experience
When everyone you know from each circle you pal around with is reading one book, what is a girl to do but join in and give the book a shot? I found that the first 6 chapters dragged on in my opinion, but since this book has 26 chapters, I knew it had to get better. No one sits down and reads a 514 page book if the book is bland. The next day I picked back up at chapter 7, and that is when I started to be inseparable from the book. Chapters 7 and 8 are when things start to get more heavy and the story rapidly evolves. In the end, I fell for the book and am glad I bought it. Sure, it does read like a teenager wrote it, but it has some very sexy parts.

Read my review!

I still think this is an awesome book. I have purchased the second and third book but have not had a chance to start reading them yet.

I would recommend this book to almost any female who likes to read.

Great review! I'm so contemplating getting this book. I just feel like people are making it sound better than it actually is!

@TheSinDoll- Girl, in the beginning I had the SAME problem! It was dead boring for the first 6 or 7 chapters...

I'm not going to jump off this cliff, I don't think I'd like it.

I read this book. I think what everyone is afraid of is the bdsm. While I am not into that I do so love romance books. And this is a romance book. There is a love story there. And yes the story needed a good editor before it got published but the fact that it is still a great read even though it "feels as if it was written by a teenager" says a lot
