Fifty Shades of Grey book 1 - erotic book by Vintage Books - review by madame.x

I have read and reread this book coincidentally fifty times, I love, love, love it. It's sexy and gives good ideas as to what can be done in the bedroom to spice things up. Anastasia is the protagonist and I find her a tad bit annoying. She is likeable and cutesy in her innocence but I find it annoying how she doesn't vocalize her opinions or how she presumes the worst in every situation. She tends to overthink everything instead of seizing her opportunities. But at the same time, she is dealing with a sadist, but a very sexy, rich sadist who for some reason, loves her out of all of his submissives.

Christian is her love interest who is a billionaire, dangerously sexy, worldly, has a habit of being hot and cold towards those he is "fucking" and he comes off as a bit crazy in a broader definition of the term. He shows up out of nowhere claiming to have tracked Anastasia's phone (stalker) and goes off the rails over tiny things, which should have made her run. But despite his shortcomings, there is a connection that is sexy and puts the reader on edge while waiting for the next sexual encounter. The unorthodox sexcipades are inventive in some instances and definitely give the reader some kinky ideas. I, for one, have tried a couple and can honestly say I was happier for it...

The book ends on a low note but that just means you're left wanting more. I was so addicted that after finishing this book, I went to the store and purchased the next one. Like I said, I reread the series fifty times; it never gets old. For mothers or wives--pick up a copy if you want some fulfillment. The books are romantic, erotic, and just plain sexy as hell. They don't call it mommy porn for nothing.
