Use

Eos Complete Care Hand and Body Lotion Boost formula is a moisturizer for dry to extra dry skin. For anyone who has had product sensitivities in the past, this lotion boats it is dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic, paraben-free, lanolin-free, phthalate-free, and dye-free. It is also not tested on animals and 100% vegan.

After testing the product on my hands I noticed no itching like I normally do with most conventional lotions. I have very sensitive, dry skin so finding a product that works is always a time to rejoice. It left my hands feeling soft and despite the thickness of the product they were not left greasy and it absorbed nicely.

I do have to note that it is NOT hypoallergenic as it claims. If you aren't sure, check the ingredients. On the back of the bottle it says "enriched with shea butter". Shea butter contains natural latex. If you are sensitive to latex be careful with this product and do a test patch before using it on a large area of your skin. Not many people know the about the latex content in shea butter as it is rarely warned of.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture is on the thick side for a body lotion, likely due to this being the formula intended for extra dry skin. It was not greasy however, it felt nice on my hands and absorbed well. I didn't notice any residue but I felt some when I washed my hands about an hour later. It isn't enough to bother me though, I am used to most products leaving some trace of residue as not all of the ingredients are able to be absorbed completely by the skin, such as the mineral oil, which is used for external protection.

I did need to rub it in a bit more than other lotions but it did eventually absorb. I think this would be best used after taking a shower or a bath when your pores are open, especially after shaving. I also got the Eos shaving cream and they work well in combination with one another.

Taste / Aroma

The smell is not very strong, a light and sweet honey vanilla scent. I do not like strongly scented products, they are more likely to irritate my skin. I don't usually use lotions with a scent at all but I was willing to give this a try based on the reviews. I'm glad to say that the fragrance is minimal and very neutral, it won't clash with other products or perfumes and fades after time, leaving a very faint powdery scent behind with a touch of sweetness.

I would not taste this lotion as it is not meant to be edible so do not ingest it. For external use only.

    • Smells good

Performance

This product is excellent, I love how well it moisturizes my skin without leaving behind a greasy or heavy feeling. I didn't feel the need to rinse it off like I have with some other heavy lotions in the past. It cleans up easily, just rinse with water if you spill any or get some on your clothes. It is dye-free so it will not stain anything.

As mentioned, despite it saying it is a hypoallergenic product be wary of the shea butter content if you have any allergies to latex. Shea butter contains natural latex. It also has coconut oil, some people can react topically if they are allergic to coconuts. Always do a test patch when trying out a new product for allergy concerns to be on the safe side.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Allergy concerns
    • Feels natural

Packaging

The packaging is a 12 oz. plastic pump bottle. There are no instructions included but the package itself is printed will all the information you need. It is a bit large for travel, 12 oz is over the size to carry on an airplane so if you need to take it with you I'd suggest getting an empty travel bottle and filling it up. The pump is very convenient and keeps things neat when dispensing. The bottle is bigger than I expected so you get a lot of product for the price. There is even a reminder to recycle the plastic on the bottle.

As it is just a body lotion and not any type of sex product there is nothing you need to be discreet about. It is lotion and plainly states that, just a beauty product and no other hidden agendas.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Very informative packaging

Personal comments

I am very happy to have tried this lotion. It works well for my sensitive skin and I am interested in trying the other formulas too. I wish they had added a bit more information about the scent on the package or offered a completely unscented version but since I haven't experienced any irritation from it I'm not too concerned.
Follow-up commentary
I adore this lotion. Nothing has worked better on my sensitive skin than this. Definitely adding it as a permanent part of my beauty regimen. I use it for my entire body except my face, I have a specific facial moisturizer for there but otherwise it's fantastic. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I have noticed the smell changes a bit over time. My initial reaction to the scent was a vanilla honey, on my skin it smells faintly of coconut. The scent is still very mild and doesn't bother me though.
