Level 99 Moisturize Skill!

This is the *best lotion ever*. You should see my bathroom cabinet. It looks like the lotion aisle at the store. I've tried everything to soothe my Sahara Desert skin. This lotion is the only thing I've found that excels at that without leaving icky feelings afterwards. Yes, it also has the most amazingly delicious scent ever. You need to buy it. Now. Trust me.

Use

Lotion. Who doesn't love it? Even your grandma's got some. Can't say that about very many things on this site, huh? Why is lotion awesome? Ideally, it smells good, it makes you soft and silky smooth, and you know, it's fun to slather it on (or recruit someone else for the job). All lotions are not created equal, though. Some smell delicious, but leave you feeling like you need to bathe in it to even get slightly moisturized. Some are a little too much in the sticky department and leave you feeling like you need to bathe to get it off. What's a lady (or gentleman) with dry skin to do? *insert dramatic hand to the forehead sigh here*

Get some of this lotiony magic in a bottle, that's what. Your skin looking like the Sahara Desert like they show in every lotion commercial? (Mine always does.) Maybe like slightly more fashionable crocodile? (That's only sexy on shoes and handbags.) How can you become the after part of those commercials where there's images of silk floating all around you or someone is in bed unable to resist your softness? EOS Complete Care Hand and Body Lotion is the answer!

Unlike those other lotions that fall short in one of those qualities of an ideal lotion, this one excels at everything it does. In fact, it's perfect at all of it. It has the most delicious scent you could ask for but doesn't leave you feeling like you've doused yourself in perfume. It provides the most soothing amount of moisture I've found in any lotion (and trust me, my bathroom cabinet looks like the lotion aisle of a drug store). How could you go wrong?

Here are the ingredients in this magic skin elixir:

Water (eau), Glycine soja (Soybean) oil, mineral oil (huile minerale), cocoglycerides, glyceryl stearate, dimethicone, petrolatum, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, sodium stearoyl lactylate, cocos nucifera (coconut) seed oil, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), aloe barbadensis leaf juice, avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, tocopheryl acetate, fragrance (parfum), carbomer, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, dmdm hydantoin, sodium hydroxide, butylphenyl methylpropional, coumarin, hexyl cinnamal, limonene, linalool.

Yes, there are some crazy words in there that leave you tongue tied, but it's all hypoallergenic! (Hooray for people like me who get all itchy from those other lame lotions.) From my extensive research on what to do for my horribly crazy dry skin I know that soybean oil, coconut oil, shea butter, oat extract, mineral oil and aloe are top-notch moisturizers. Dimethicone works to coat the skin and seal in the moisture (and is what scar creams are made of). The other stuff, well . . . apparently those things are nice to your skin, too.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Most of those "intensive moisture" lotions out there will coat your skin really well, but in that waxy, greasy, "I feel like I need to shower now" way. That, or they're way too thick and it takes an entire bottle to cover yourself. The thinner types that don't to that are gone in a flash if your skin is as parched as mine is. This one wins again! It's a medium viscosity lotion with a smooth texture. It coats, but feels natural. You will have a slight lotion feeling afterwards, but it's more of a super moisturized "geez my skin is so soft" feeling. It won't leave your clothes sticking to you or make you feel like you just rolled around in a vat of cooking oil. It doesn't take a whole 5 gallon drum to get you covered. Five or six pumps is enough to cover a leg (and you only get a dab with each). How economical! Even after a few hours your skin is still protected and the softness is still there. Your skin is slightly coated and softer than fluffy kitties.

Taste / Aroma

Oh my. This stuff. You know how lotions are normally a hit or miss when it comes to pretty smells? Too strong, not strong enough, or obnoxiously sweet? You wouldn't expect one of those intensive moisture lotions to have that great of a scent, because you know, it can't be perfect. How about a lotion that is not only the best at moisturizing but smells AWESOME! This. This stuff right here.

It smells like . . . (and I'm getting all warm and fuzzy feeling just thinking about it) . . . fresh sugar cookie dough. Not like overly sweet icing covered cookies, but the dough I make from scratch and I don't like my cookies tasting like a block of sugar, either. Hints of sweetness, a little vanilla, and warm butter. That's what this stuff smells like. Heaven. I'm not one for sweet food scents, but half the fun of putting this lovely stuff on is how tasty it smells. Once you put it on the scent is soft. Cookies in the oven soft. (Oh, and it's apparently quite the aphrodisiac, as well.)

Only thing I can see is that boys may not smelling like cookies, but that's their loss.

Performance

If you only knew how dry my skin is. Ugh. Constantly flaky in a skin dandruff way. Hey, I have pretty tattoos . . . if you can see them. The winter is especially bad. Eczema combined with the dry skin means I'm always itching and scratching to the point that I have scabs. Not cute. Needless to say, most lotions never really work for me. Taking off stockings is quite embarrassing when you're skin is so dry it looks like it's snowing. (Gross, I know.) Nivea? Tried it. Eucerin? Tried it. Aquaphor? Tried it.

And then EOS comes in and saves the day! It's rare that I find anything that my skin doesn't soak up in a matter of minutes. And again, things that don't leave me feeling gross afterwards. The Complete Care lotion is exactly what I've needed for my horribly thirsty skin. After hours and hours I still felt incredibly soft and moisturized. That feeling actually lasted for days. My tattoos were brighter than I've seen them in a long time. If I start to get the dry skin itch I throw some of this on and it's gone in a flash. That's some quality stuff right there. I can say I've finally found my perfect match.

Experience

I'm incredibly impressed here. I've never found anything that would work for me and I'd usually end up forgetting to put lotion on because it didn't ever do too much. I'd tried super expensive stuff. I'd gotten things from the dermatologist that made me feel sticky, but you know, at least my skin wasn't dry, you know? This lotion has everything. When I want to get cozy I throw some on after my bath because of how delicious it smells, and it makes freshly shaven legs the smoothest thing you've ever felt. (Oh, cuts down on after shaving irritation, too.) When I run out I'm grabbing another bottle of this. Actually, a few bottles so I can keep it everywhere I go. It's that good. Now I want to tell everyone about it. Hooray! Lotion!

EOS has a few different lotions out there that we carry. This one is probably best for severe dry skin, which I have, but I'm highly confident that the others will work just as well for those out there who have different skin needs.
Follow-up commentary
It's a little soon for a follow-up review but I've been using this stuff non-stop for weeks now. It still remains my favorite and has made a top place in my lotion preferences that far surpasses all of the others. My severely dry skin has been left in the past. No more of that. As time went on I felt like I needed to use it less and less because it actually had a lasting effect on my skin. Seriously, grab a bottle.
