Love the lotion, hate the smell

Lotion is moisturizing, has a locking pump that makes travel easy and mess free, and lasts for several hours. I did not enjoy the smell, but the smell faded quickly so I will continue to use this line. I enjoy that is recyclable and not tested on animals. The lotion does contain some ingredients that people may be allergic to.

Use

This body lotion can be used by anyone except for those with certain allergies. The best use of it as a lotion is for hand and body. I would certainly not use this on sex toys or in any way in place of lube. This lotion is meant to help out with dry skin and contains ingredients such as shea butter and oat extract to help hydrate skin. The lotion also contains natural antioxidants, essential nutrients, and vitamin C. This lotion is paraben free, lanolin free, phthalate free, and dye free. This product is also not tested on animals and uses no animal by-products. Some people may be allergic to some of the ingredients in the lotion so be aware of that before ordering. I used this product on my face as well as my body and did not have any problem with it. I would give this product as a gift to someone as the quality of the lotion is nice, but I would pick the melon scented lotion instead.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The bottle the lotion came in is high quality. It has a pump that can be opened or closed by twisting it. This makes it convenient for travel. I like to put mine in my gym bag and use it after I get out of the shower or before I go to the sauna. The lotion is quite thick and creamy. The picture below shows a picture of how much lotion a single pump distributes. The lotion stays put unless it comes in contact with water after a shower or something. My experience is that the lotion absorbed into my skin quite quickly. It left a slight sheen on my skin as pictured in the second photo taken a minute after the lotion was rubbed in. It did not feel greasy and left my skin feeling velvety and soft. I do ceramics and spend a lot of time at the pool so I loved how moisturizing this lotion was.

Taste / Aroma

There is not a scent listed on the label, but the lotion does have a slight floral scent. It's not one that I particularly enjoy because I think it smells a little like an old lady. The smell fades about an hour after use and the smell is not overwhelming. The label lists that the lotion has fragrance so those who have difficulties with smells or have any allergy to fragrance should not buy this. This lotion is not meant to be edible so eating it or licking it off the skin is not recommended. I will say that if you happen to kiss an area that has the lotion on it, it does not really have a taste and you don't really taste the fragrance. It did not ruin the mood at all.

Performance

I had the best results with the lotion when I put it on before I got into the sauna or after I got out of the shower. The product lasts for several hours without having to reapply. The lotion is quite thick so if you need to get it off your skin just rinsing it under water did not do the trick. I had to actually get into the shower to wash the product off before getting into a swimming pool. The best thing about the product is that it is very moisturizing and that it is not tested on animals. The downside is that I did not enjoy the smell, but at least the smell is not very strong. I found that the lotion absorbed into my skin nicely and that it was not sticky. There are ingredients that some may be allergic too and I do not recommend this product to those who are sensitive to fragrance.

    • Long lasting

Packaging

The product is packaged in a nice bottle with a pump that can be locked for traveling. The pump will not allow any lotion to leak out of the bottle when traveling with it. User instructions are on the bottle, but there are no mention of allergy concerns. The bottle also states that it is recyclable and requests that the bottle be recycled by the user. The packaging also list the the item is dermatologist tested, hypo-allergenic, paraben free, lanolin free, phthalate free, and dye free. The bottle is 9 1/2" tall and quite sturdy. It's nicely shaped and looks good on the counter in my bathroom.
    • Does not leak
    • Recyclable

Experience

In the photos above it took me about 60 seconds to rub that huge glob of lotion into my skin. It absorbs quickly. I am not allergic to fragrance, but the fragrance was like a subtle floral smell that fades quickly. When I put it on and got into my car it did not give me a headache. When I accidentally touched my shirt before the lotion was absorbed it got onto my clothes, but came off in the wash. It only left my skin shiny for a few minutes before the lotion fully absorbed. It worked well when my skin was not dry and when it was quite dry after I was swimming in the pool. I took this to work with me and reapplied every time I washed my hands. It kept the moisture locked in for quite a while. The only thing I did not like about this lotion was the smell, but the more I use it the more it grows on me. The lotion is thick and keeps my hands or body moisturized for hours. I used it for massage on myself and someone else and we both enjoyed how it made our skin feel. This other person thought the lotion smelled great so it seems that the scent is really a matter of personal preference.
Follow-up commentary
I still hate the smell of this lotion. I ended up giving it to a coworker who loved the smell. She is very happy with the lotion, so I'm glad it worked out for her. I want to try the lotion again in the melon scent and see if that works better.
