Revitalizing care hand and body lotion - body moisturizer discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by Elias McLovin

I have a pretty bad problem with rough, dry skin, especially during the winter. I've tried a few different kinds of lotion, and most of them don't seem to do too great of a job. My fiance has tried other products from EOS and thought they were pretty good, so she bought me a bottle of the revitalizing care lotion. I have to say this is the best lotion I've tried so far.

EOS's revitalizing care lotion is best used as a hand and skin moisturizer. This lotion is 97% natural, and is paraben, lanolin, phthalate, and dye free. The product is not tested on animals, and contains no animal by-products. The bottle is also made out of recyclable plastic. It's labeled as hypoallergenic, but here is a breakdown of the ingredients so you can see if there's anything specific you might be allergic to.

This lotion has a very smooth, velvety texture. The bottle has a pump dispenser, which works a lot better than most other lotion bottles I've used. It doesn't come out too fast or too slow, so you can get exactly the amount you want without accidentally pumping too much. The consistency is very smooth and even. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being extremely thin and 10 being extremely thick, I would say it's right about in the middle. It stays in place fairly well if you use a small amount, but a larger amount will run pretty quickly. Once applied, the lotion absorbs into the skin pretty quickly, and leaves the skin feeling smooth. I've noticed with this lotion that a small amount can go a long way. More severely dried skin will take a larger amount, but for the most part, a dime size amount works pretty good for just your hands. I don't feel that this lotion leaves my skin feeling greasy or sticky, in fact, I can barely tell it was there once it's been absorbed. This is a good thing for me, because I don't really like my hands, and anything I touch feeling slick or greasy.

This lotion doesn't have a named fragrance, but I would say it has a very light, flowery scent. The scent isn't very strong, even if you use a large amount. However, there was something strange that I noticed. While experiencing a headache, I noticed the scent seemed a lot stronger, which then aggravated my headache further. So if you're having a headache, I would suggest using a fragrance free lotion if you need to use one.

Since this lotion isn't meant to be ingested, it doesn't have anything added to it to give it a taste. If you happen to kiss or lick someone's skin where they applied it though, you'll notice a light lotion taste. It's not really unpleasant, and shouldn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The thing I like best about this lotion is that it lasts a very long time. Even though I tend to have a problem with severely dry hands, I don't always remember to use any kind of lotion. It's nice to know that I can use this lotion once and be set for most of the day. Other lotions I've used I'll apply, and then an hour or so later it will feel like I didn't use any lotion at all. I also like how well this lotion absorbs into my skin. Some lotions I've used I've had to actually wipe or wash my hands off because not all of it absorbs into my skin. This usually leaves my hand feeling greasy, which I don't particularly enjoy. Other than the smell aggravating a headache, there isn't anything about this lotion that I don't like.

There is something else I wanted to point out. Being a guy, I wanted to see how well this lotion would work as a masturbation aid. I have to say.... not very well. I had to keep reapplying because of how fast this absorbs into the skin, and I ended up switching to something else to finish up. This lotion definitely doesn't work very well as a lubricant.
