Anal lube by Cal Exotics - review by Vaccinium

Anal Lube is certainly a no-frills lubricant, but it does precisely what it says. It lubricates the anus for the purpose of anal sex or anal toy play. Anal sex was quite enjoyable for the both of us (male and female) while using it. We have also used it with anal toys, and it is equally effective, and thus enjoyable for each of us. We have also used it as a lubricant for vaginal sex, albeit infrequently. It is somewhat effective as a lubricant for masturbation, although it will dry out without an additional moisture source. Another benefit about being water-based is that Anal Lube is perfectly acceptable to use with condoms and silicone toys.

It is clear and thick, about the consistency of jelly. Anal Lube has not stained clothing or bedding, nor can it run and leak because of its thickness. However, because of how thick it is, it can be difficult to get out of the bottle, particularly when it is less than half full. The bottle itself is soft plastic, and you must squeeze it fairly hard to get it out. The nozzle is located in a flip-top portion of the lid, and seems a bit small given the thickness of the lubricant.

It has a slight odor, but it is minimal and not overly disagreeable. The taste is not very strong, and while not exactly tasty, it wasn't overly disagreeable either. The cherry-flavored Anal Lube would probably be preferable should one desire to use it in conjunction with oral activity.

We have had no negative skin reactions to it, despite using it for anal and, occasionally, vaginal sex. Cleanup is fairly simple and wipes clean with a dry towel or wet washcloth without leaving much residue. Soap and water takes care of everything else. Any residue is somewhat tacky.
