Lotions and Lubes and Oils - Oh my!
If you're looking for a good water-based lube, this is one of my top picks. Nothing to knock about this lube, although some people may prefer silicone.Published: December 16, 2008
Pros:
long lasting, decent flavor, smooth texture, great price, easy to clean up
Cons:

First of all, I'll state that I'm partial to water-based lubes. They are so universal and safe and you don't have to worry about them messing up your toys. This said, not all water-based lubes do a very good job when it comes to long-lasting moisture. I've been on a mission to find a lube that feels most like me, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying the ones that aren't.
I don't feel ID glide is like me at all. I have two water-based lubes that I've tried that I adore and this is one of them. The texture is very smooth and not too thick or thin. It doesn't get gritty like some or sticky after long use. I bought it along with ID Millennium. Both were good products and felt nice. The only difference I really noticed in the quality was of course anything that would make a person chose a silicone. The flavor also isn't unpleasant. There isn't much of an odor or plastic taste like some lubes seem to have. Which is always a plus for me.
The ID Glide of course didn't last under water or as long, but the texture was very similar and it lasted longer than any other water-based lubricant I've used. Be warned. It's not "anything-free" as some are. It does contain glycerin and all that other jazz, so if you have an content preference, do look at what the product contains. It stays put pretty well, which is what makes it last so long. But eventually the friction and skin break that down. If you're going for marathon sex and need a lubricant, this isn't the lube for you. But if you're looking for some long lasting playtime, this product is just right. This product also cleans up fairly easily after playtime is over.

This isn't the BEST water-based lubricant, but for the price it's okay. I still say that I like it. I think it's better than Wet Gel or Wet Light and I also like both of them. But this is my favorite of the cheaper water-based products that have nothing special added. (Like ID Pleasure) It has a nice consistency and isn't as sticky. That said, it DOES get sticky and can require a lot of lubricant during long periods of playtime. I stretch the life a bit, using water to reactivate it before applying more lube. It seems the more lubricant that is applied, the stickier it gets and it takes EVEN MORE to get the consistency back to something that's desirable. It's a pretty good lube for general use.

I received a sample and want to make sure it's the real thing before writing a review.

I got this sample with a wholesale order:

Is this the one EF is selling in larger bottles, so can I review it? -
It looks the same to me. If you're going to review it, do note that you have a smaller sample size tho.

It got pretty good ratings but it's like the worst thing I ever tried maybe 2/5. So not sure if it's just my personal preference or just plain different. Ingredients looks like the same tho. I read your durex warming review! I like that lube and use it to the day. This is far worse than that in terms of smell and performance. I got a premium silicone lube recently and I can finally understand why people gave 2/5 to the durex warming :) But I like it anyway, it's different. But made me realize what tacky really means and now I got a better picture.

Why is this product not sold in the same types of containers?
-
I am wondering why the different weights are sold in different containers. The 17.5 oz. container looks the best, but costs more. The 4 oz bottle looks weird, and I don't like it. They should be sold in same-looking containers. Any comments? Agreements?

I think it'd be much better if they made them all the same as you suggested. I guess they figure they're just giving people a choice in the way the lube is disposed?

Personally it doesn't bother me what the bottle looks like. Some I am sure are easier to conceal in a pocket or purse for the purpose of travel. Others do to their size like the one I baught being 35 oz. looks like a shampoo bottle and you could probably have out in the open as long as someone didn't take to close a look at it. I am sure they had their reasons for making the bottles the way they did.
