Aqua lube - lubricant discontinued by Pjur® - review by Illumin8

Everyone needs a good water-based lube. The simple fact is that some toys should just not be used with silicone-based lubricants. So even though my wife and I generally prefer silicone-based lube during intercourse, we needed to find a good alternative that met our needs for when we play with certain toys.

Obviously, because the lube is water-based, it's not useful in the shower/tub/pool. But anywhere else and this lube will work wonders!

This lube is very slick and slippery. It comes in a tube with a twist off cap, making it very easy to pour. The great thing about this lube is that it's very natural feeling and doesn't feel greasy at all. If I were to criticize one aspect of this product, it would be that it tends to become slightly sticky once it has dried.

The lube is also very thin compared to many other lubes. When applying it, it usually begins to run everywhere, but it is not usually a problem once we begin to have intercourse or use whatever toy we have applied it to.

Another great thing about this lube is that it has absolutely no scent or taste. While my wife and I aren't big into going down on each other once we've applied lube, we can't always plan ahead perfectly. So having a lube that doesn't taste horrible if we get it in our mouths is definitely an advantage.

The lube lasts a pretty long amount of time, considering it is water-based. On average, we usually end up having to reapply the lube once or twice during each of our sessions.

As mentioned previously, the lube becomes slightly sticky when it dries up. It's definitely not as bad as some others that we've used, but it's enough to make me want to stop to reapply a few more drops.

Another thing that we love about this lube is that it washes off extremely easily with warm water and soap, or even simply with body wipes.

The lube does not come in a box but rather comes wrapped in plastic. It is contained in a simple tube with a twist off cap which is great for preventing leaking. In the heat of the moment, with lube covered hands, it can be difficult to screw the cap back on, so I'd recommend just leaving it off until your hands are completely clean and dry.
