A great light lube that feels natural.

Best lube we've found for us---tasteless, light and silky smooth. Cleans up easily, won't stain, and is safe for use on silicone toys.

Use

We use Pur Aqua as a good all-purpose lubricant. Since most of our toys are silicone, we don't keep anything but water based lubricants in the toy box. I don't want to have to be considering which lube can be used with which toy. Standard warning---don't use silicone based lubes with silicone toys---not nice things can happen to your expensive toys!

It's a little thin for anal play, but works great everywhere else.

We like this because it is essentially tasteless; oral loving after applying this lube is not a turnoff.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It is rather thin; it's just a step above water as far as viscosity. It has a nice silky texture that leaves just enough friction. It does not get sticky or tacky.

Taste / Aroma

A huge consideration for us is taste---we don't like the taste of flavored lubricants, and some "unflavored" lubes taste like you've been licking the beakers in the chem lab again. Pur Aqua has very close to no taste at all; it's great for oral loving anytime during your play.
    • No smell
    • No taste

Performance

Cleans up with water easily. It does seem to soak into the skin a little; we typically have to reapply it once during extended playtimes. It will leave a visible spot on the sheets, but that comes right out in the wash.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

Packaging

My biggest complaint with Pur Aqua is the packaging. It has a screw-off lid. When you're busy, it's a pain to have to undo the top. I typically repackage it into a flip top lid container.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Does not leak

Personal comments

We've tried many different lubes over the years. This is the one for us---light, works well, and tasteless.

Nice first review, and welcome to Eden, Tefca! Being tasteless is important to me too, so I'm a big fan of Sliquid Ride. I'm glad you found one that works for you, though! Does this have glycerine in it?

Thanks for the review! I have to admit though, it seems a little pricey for water based lube. I too would love to know what the ingredients are.

Congrats on your first review! I agree with you, it definitely is pricey! I don't think I could afford it considering how quickly we go though lubricant, but It's good to know that if I did ever have that type of money for lube, it'd be worth it lol.... I also think the screw-off lid is a major downfall!! Thanks for sharing hun!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

    According to the Pjur website:

All Pjur water-based formulas contain the highest, medical grade vegetable glycerin.

    So yes, glycerin is included

I need to find a good lube that wont give me a yeast infection

    Thanks for the review.
  • Contributor: Tefca
LilLostLenore, the Sliquid Ride that Antipova talked about above has no glycerin - that may help with the infections. It's next on my list to try because of that and the thickness
