Not Ultra, But Not Bad

This lube stays in place really well, has virtually no smell, and isn't the best choice for a hand job. But it does still have a place in a lube collection if you want a thick lube to start sex, or for using sleeves.

Use

Lube in general is great if you need some extra slide, and water based lubes are nice because you can use them with pretty much everything. This particular one doesn't last as long as it should for being an "ultra" lube, but it's still not a bad lube to have around. It stays where you put it and it doesn't get sticky or leave you feeling icky.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Ultra Lube has a nice, gel-like consistency. It's really nice because it means it's not going to just up and run as soon as you apply it and you're not going to accidentally apply half the bottle. Between the fingers it feels nice and slick, not oily, and leaves a very slight greasy residue until it dries, but that only takes a few minutes.

Taste / Aroma

It has a scent to it that I can't quite place. Nothing offensive, almost like sugar cookie dough in the bowl. Odd, I know, but that's the closest thing I can think of. Of course this is also if you're darn near snorting it you'd have to be that close. I tasted it (for science of course) and I just got a little bit of something tangy. Nothing I'd want to ingest purposefully, but if you got some in your mouth taking a break for oral, no big deal.

Performance

Overall, this lube performed pretty well. It didn't last very long between just my fingers, only a minute or so of constant rubbing, but it was easily rejuvenated with a little bit of water or spit. During sex with a condom it lasted the whole time we did, and without a condom it soaked into the skin a few minutes in. It didn't disappear completely since my natural fluids were enough to keep it going, and it did a great job of not feeling like extra lube. For me with toys, it performed well enough. It's not the first lube I reach for, but if it's the first one that comes out I don't put it back. My husband likes it with the fleshlight as well because the lube does stay put and doesn't drip down the sides. For skin on skin contact where nothing is making its own lubrication, I'd pick something else.

After use, it left our skin feeling soft and smooth and nothing like we had been using lube at all really. Because of that we didn't feel the need for any extra cleanup, but if you do you can get it all off with a damp washcloth.

Packaging

This comes in a few different sizes, I got the 1 ounce package so that I could try it and not be out a whole lot if I didn't like it. This bottle is pretty tiny, small enough to fit in a majority of pockets and pretty much any purse, but it covers all the basics. It has a little flip cap that doesn't fall open with a breeze, but is still really easy to use either way.

The label on the front has the name, that it's water based, the fluid amount, and the ingredients: water, glycerin, PEG-8, carbomer, hydroxyethylcellulose, potassium acesulfame, sodium hydroxide, disodium edta, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, diazolidynil urea. I know you might be thinking "Urea? That's pee!!" but it's a common antimicrobial preservative used in cosmetics, so it's doing nothing more than being a preservative here. If you know you have sensitivities or issues with glycerin, you should probably avoid this then.

Experience

I'm not entirely sold on this lube to be honest. I mean, there wasn't anything bad about it, but it didn't really blow my hair back either. My husband on the other hand, loved the fact that it stayed where he wanted in his fleshlight, and likes it a lot more than the ID Glide he finally polished off because it's thicker. We're trying to go through the lubes that we have around before we buy any more, but this is on his list of things he'd buy again.

Lol, thanks Ivy!

It's not a bad lube, but there are others that I would personally buy first when this runs out. Thanks so much everybody!
