This toy was definitely designed
My first impression of the
Swiss Navy silicone lubricant was excellent. It arrived in a funky-looking leak proof bottle, complete with a pump action dispenser, which I adore. It makes application so much easier, and ensures you don't squeeze too much out in one go; this can be a passion killer in itself if you're frantically wiping excess lubricant up!
This lubricant claims to be velvety, silky, long-lasting, non-staining, and waterproof. I would agree with the velvety and silky part. However, when I put it through its paces and reapplied it several times, it didn't really stand up. It started to clump together and feel more and more unpleasant on my skin. Frequent applications aren't necessary though, as it does last for a long time under considerable pressure!
Unfortunately, the lube didn't pass the non-staining test. I had some blobs lingering on my bedsheets after the event, which marks it down somewhat.
Silicone based lubricants do tend to be waterproof, but for the sake of fairness, I did the test, and it passed with flying colors. It must have been a genius that developed waterproof lubricant; I'd like to shake his or her hand!
This lubricant also passed the taste and smell test, i.e. it had none. I rubbed some onto the back of my hand, had a sniff and a lick, and everything was fine. No unpleasant odours or tastes. However, when I started to rub it off my skin, I noticed a definite sticky residue being left behind. I was disappointed; having hoped it would simply disappear without a trace like many other
lubricants. This is a no-go, particularly if it's a quickie session and you don't have much time for clearing up! Nobody wants sticky nether regions after the event!
Overall, this isn't a bad product. Positive points are the design of the bottle, the texture, lack of odours and taste, the longevity, and the price. At just $9.99 - this should last you through a fair few steamy sessions!
Unfortunately this product falls down on its ability to stain sheets (a tell-tale sign if there ever was one!), sticky residue left on the skin, and the fact that regular re-application makes it go a little lumpy.
