Poppy, fun, almost perfect!
Soft and cute! It is worth trying if you like the look and want to share your fandom of this site in a tasteful way or just have something comfy to wear around the house.Published: November 14, 2011
Pros:
Pleasant material and length, comfortable, fun colors, may fit smalls best.
Cons:
May not be worn everywhere, thin, print not perfect, larger sizes may be snug.
Like many reviewers, I received this as a freebie. But despite the freebie-ness, I was probably just as excited about getting it as I was about getting what I originally intended to order!
I was extremely pleased with the feel of the cotton jersey. It is slightly thinner than most jersey and very soft, almost silky. It is the sort of fabric that asks for hands to touch a body through! But I was very disappointed because the print job would have looked and felt better higher on my chest--the hands that reach for my shape get more of a handful of a thickly applied print job instead. But I feel certain that the print job will outlast the thin material. Mine was printed fairly well.
From what I've read, many feel it runs much too small. I wonder if there is variety in how the shirts fit, or is it that the larger they get, the weirder the sizing? My size experience is opposite of many reviews. My recommended size is usually small, but I often prefer mediums for a fit that is neither form-fitting nor baggy. For some reason, I ordered small anyway. This fit me more like a medium, and I'm really happy about it. So, if you are a smaller person, you may be satisfied with a small or medium. As for the rest of the fit, the length of the sleeves are excellently long for a short sleeve shirt, as well as the length. I feel cool but modest.
The bright message really pops out and wants to be read. It doesn't scream "buy some sex toys!!" But shirts often do start conversations regarding meaning, so I will take care about where I wear this. If you frequent places where people wouldn't think much of it, feel free to wear out--it is a fairly tasteful way to share. I love my shirt for at home, to bed, and in the back yard.
Due to the thinness of material I highly recommend wearing proper foundation garments if you wear this out. A bra and color that you would wear under not-so-opaque black will do. I would wear a skin-matching bra. If I wanted to layer, a black tank or even long sleeved shirt underneath if it is cool outside would do nicely.
I'm not sure how well you all can see, but here is my hand under the fabric:
There are some tiny bits of print splatter here, but in person, it is not very noticeable.
Washing is easy, like most cotton items. To preserve the color I wash in cold water. I like to be gentle with drying my t-shirts, and dry flat or half-dry in dryer. In the few months I've had the shirt, it has gone through many wears and washes and still looks new.
My shirt is better than I expected in some ways, but could be tweaked for perfection. But it is nothing that occupies my mind as I wear it. I love my shirt! If it wears out someday, I may order another if available. I definitely will be looking for other shirts that have this same feel and shape.

#AskEden - EF Shirt Sizes
-
I normally wear a medium or a large. I ordered this shirt in XL so that I could wear it lounging and for sleep. Its so small though. It came about a medium or a small. Im afraid to wash it and see it shrink
-
I have three of these - one large, and two XL. The large was a bit snug, but the XL are fine, and have held up to repeated washings well.
-
There were actually a couple different types of EF shirts. The XL and larger shirts were sized a little smaller than expected, but the L and smaller shirts were right on with their sizes.
There were quite a few forum posts on this.

Material?

Why does it seem like I received one shirt made out of a thinner and softer material than the other shirts I received? Has anyone else experienced this?

Quote: Why does it seem like I received one shirt made out of a thinner and softer material than the other shirts I received? Has anyone else experienced this?I have three of these now (all in the same size). Each one is a different material! The first was very thin, stretchy, and really a great shirt since it is sized so small. The second was a very thick material with no stretch to it at all! I cannot even get that one on, even though it should fit exactly like the first one I received. The third shirt is wearable, but again is thicker material than the first, at least this one has a bit more stretch to it than the second one!
I would wager a guess that they are ordering these made up using the "most cost effective" material available, which would account for the varied material (which ever one is cheaper to make that day).
I know that I was happy with the first one, so I ordered more to "modify" some of them as I had seen in a video here. As it stands now...I have one to hide in the closet, one to tuck away for "emergency t-shirt needs", and one I can actually wear and enjoy.
So long as they are offering these free with purchase, I may get a few more (they'll make good rags if nothing else), but I wouldn't spend the $15 asking price on them with the materials being so varied from order to order! -
Good to know, and I hope the one I'll get in my next order will be a soft material.

They just came out so I don't think anyone has had a chance to wear them out yet.
