Corset and g-string - corset discontinued by Magic Silk - review by winterseve

The first thing I thought when I put this on was "Watch out Marilyn!" This corset set made me feel like a million bucks. I felt and looked as great as a pin up girl from back in the day. This is the perfect vintage piece that gives me confidence and turns me on.

The corset is a sexy number accompanied by a thong and removable garters. The base is made of polyester, nylon, and spandex. The polka dots black on white in the center and adorning the breasts are beautiful and gives you a sexy enhanced visual effect. The pink bow that joins the two cups gives it a pop of color to die for. Because the black portion on the side is joined to the polka dot material the way it is, it gives the body an elongated slimming look. On the cups and down the center of the corset is some of the most beautify lace. The black lace over the polka dots adds class and more sex appeal over the polka dots. I love the pairing that MagicSilk put forth in this piece. Even being 11 weeks pregnant I was able to wear this piece on the tightest hooks. Normally I wear a size 12 pants (16 or pregnancy belly mediums currently), I have full 40DD breasts, I wear a size 20 dress (because of said breasts), and usually XL or 1X shirts. I currently weight 183lbs. In lingerie I find that I usually order a 1X to be safe. Usually I find I can order a size down, but I wanted to be able to wear this at least a few more weeks or months into this pregnancy and then also right after. I ordered a plus size (1x-3x) in this piece. It fits like a dream! The bra straps are thankfully very adjustable. The first bad thing to say about this is that the cups are too small. There is no support in the bra portion. If you were a plus size lady with C size breasts I believe this would be the perfect piece. My breasts fit into them nicely by looking at them, but there was no support and if I actually put my breasts into it like I would a bra they would not fit at all. However, when just having the set on, if you don't plan for support, then this is great anyway. I wouldn't wear it out under anything because of the lack of support.





The garters also help to accomplish the illusion of elongating the body. The garters, however, are removable. This is a plus for most people, but for me it was a pain. They kept coming undone. I reattached on garter to my stocking and the piece of rubber that holds the stocking in the loop broke. I will have probably replace the garters included with some from another set. The garters also slipped out of their holders on the corset often. If the piece hadn't broken I would have glued the garters in place to make them non-removable.

The thong that came with the corset is one of very few that I like. It is made of the same polka dot material as the center and cups of the corset. It also had a pink bow in the center, which wasn't pictured on the box, but is pictured online. I love the bow. Because I refuse to wear underwear without washing them first, I hand washed this set and let it dry on delicate. The piece of thread holding the bow together broke in the process. I retied the bow (which looked just as fabulous) and put the panties on. While the panties that come with queen sets are too large for me, they will fit a variety of sizes of women. Like with most pairs, I will have to cut and resew these panties to fit. This time they are worth it.



The corset and accompanying panties and garters come in a nice cardboard box with a picture of the model on the front. On the back is the back view of the piece along with pictures of other lingerie in the same style and line as this piece. I can't wait to try some of the other pieces shown!

I highly suggest pairing this corset with a pair of tight fishnet stockings or a very elegant lacy black stockings. This piece isn't complete without the stockings adorning luscious legs adding to the vintage sex appeal.

As I have said, wearing this corset I feel like a million bucks! It is comfortable, sexy, and comes at a price that won't break the banks! Not only do I love it, but my husband does too. I swear this is the most I've ever seen his eyes light up when I've put on lingerie. He's given me some great encouragement and comments about other pieces I have reviewed, but this is by far his favorite. He kept telling me how sexy I looked and how he loved the vintage look. He even wants to see about getting some classic pin-up style photos taken of me in this set for him and I to have. A true gauge of how much he likes something is if he lets me keep it on. This baby lasted the whole session and didn't get ruined at all. It was easy to move in and never felt restrictive or scratchy. I wish the cups fit better so that I could wear it more often and under clothes to tease my husband while out at dinner.

Here are some pictures so you can see it on from each side. You can see that the pictures allow for the illusion of support in the cups, but don't be fooled. There is none! The panties were a bit too revealing for me to wear in a picture post. Please excuse the lack of garters in the back since they broke before pictures could be taken. Don't laugh...I'm a damn sexy pregnant woman!

I still LOVE this piece. I can still fit in it with my big old preggo belly, but I will be retiring it till I deliver. It's holding up well with the usage and hand washing I've done. My husband still loves it on me as well. It's definitely a piece I will cherish for a long time.
