The shaft of the Dream Maker Night Cap and I have a love hate relationship. I love the size, and swirly, corkscrew texture on the shaft. But, the shaft has gears in it that make a waving motion. The waves are pretty weak and as soon as you apply any pressure with your PC muscles, the gears pretty much freeze up. They also make an annoying high pitched whining sounds when pressure is applied. So during the big moment, your muscles contract and all of a sudden you have less internal stimulation and a distracting sound coming from your crotch.

If that wasn't bad enough, I also have an issue with the quality of this toy. The battery pack and the shaft are not positioned correctly. The shaft it crooked to my left. So when the toy is in use the buttons are way over to the side and I have a hard time changing functions without messing up my rhythm. This is not an inexpensive toy, so I simply can't wrap my head around why it would be so carelessly put together. This is not the first time I have gotten a product from this company with a quality control issue and I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

The Night Cap is 10 inches in total length with an insertable length of 5 1/4 inches and a circumference of 5 1/2 inches. The size and shape is pretty standard for dual action toys of this kind. It's made of a nice a squishy TPR that makes taking the size of this toy very easy.

The clitoral stimulator on the Night Cap is a non-animal shape. It's pretty much a bullet vibe, covered with TPR and a few nubbies. The underside (the area that will be most likely resting on your clit) has 7 little nubs that will give a nice sensation. There are also 2 longer nubs that look kind of like antennas that can be used to rub against the clit for extra stimulation. The top of the clitoral stimulator has a few ridges that I think are there to help you hold onto the bullet if things get slippery. The vibrations on the clitoral area are nice and strong. I usually need a bit stronger vibrations and I was able to climax with this toy. The problem I had was that because the internal stimulation was so weak, I was trying to make up for it with an awesome clitoral orgasm. I have a hard time with clitoral stimulators hitting the right spots so I felt like I kept pulling the bullet closer to my body.

There are 7 buttons on this toy. One large button that turns the toy on and off. Two sets of up and down buttons and two function buttons. While looking at the toy the left side is for the shaft and the right is for the clitoral stimulator. The up and down buttons control the intensity of the vibrations or speed of the waving motion in the shaft, and the function button controls the patterns. There is also a set of 10 little lights that come on in a star pattern when when the toy is on. The lights blink and dance around and really make it easy to see the buttons in the dark.

The packaging for this product is great. It comes in its own little metal storage case with a foam cut out to keep the toy in place. The packaging reminds me of a Lisa Frank metal sticker box that I had when I was a kid. I think it had a unicorn on it. This box doesn't have any fantasy animals on it; it has a clear area that shows the vibrator. I guess when you grow up your fantasies change.

The Night Cap is easy to clean, being that it's totally waterproof. Wash is with an antibacterial soap or toy cleaner and rinse with warm water. TPR is a safer material but is still porous so please use a condom over the toy if you are going to be sharing.

The water and silicone based lubes are safe to use with this toy.
