Big Calibre, Low Yield.
It's a nice sleek toy, but the power of it is misleading. What feels good in the palm of the hand doesn't always feel good inside you.Published: February 15, 2012
Pros:
Nice box, attractive shape and design, variety of modes.
Cons:
Very noisy, vibrations felt disappointing.
When the product arrived I was quite impressed by the overall appearance. The RO-160mm came packaged inside a sturdy black cardboard box with a clear plastic viewing window at the front. Inside the box the item is clipped securely into a plastic tray adorned with the company logo, which makes it the perfect place to store your toy when not in use safely away from unwanted dust.
The vibrator itself has a reassuringly solid weighty feel to it. Given the size it would seem almost a misnomer to call it a “bullet” as it looks as though it could take down an elephant. It’s made from a solid plastic coated in a metallic blue paint, giving a very nice overall appearance. The sleek simplistic elegance of the design is somewhat reminiscent of a cigar tube. Unfortunately there were a few scratches where the paint had been removed suggesting that more may chip away in the future. When applied lubricant appeared to adhere well to the surface allowing for a thin even application without gaps.
The RO-160mm is completely waterproof, which is great for cleaning it or if you want to use it in the bath/shower. It’s only waterproof when the battery compartment is screwed on completely, and handily both the cap and main body have markings on them so you can be safe in the knowledge that once they’re aligned everything is screwed down sufficiently tightly.
The product has 7 modes of vibration - 3 constant modes of increasing speed and 4 separate patterns of pulses. This is operated by a simple button on the far end which is used to cycle through them and which feels a little on the flimsy side.
When holding the active vibrator in your hand it does feel as though it’s actually quite powerful, but unfortunately this doesn’t seem to translate at all to when it’s inside you or making contact with your erogenous zones. Despite the outward indication of strength the vibrations appear to lack any real focus or intensity and the result is mostly disappointment. The best comparison I can make, is that the vibrations are similar to those of a controller for a video game console; it shakes and judders around so you know that it's there, but the vibrations dissipate very quickly and don't direct their full force anywhere.
The vibrating function of the RO-160 is also incredibly noisy, almost giving me a start when I first turned it on. It creates a level of noise comparable with or greater than both an electric toothbrush and an electric razor. Even attempting to drown it out with the television had negligible effect, making it anything but subtle to use.
The toy isn’t strictly designed for anal use due to the lack of a flared base but the shape does make it comfortable to insert there if you’re careful about what you’re doing, and the rubber ring by the battery cap acts as a good indicator of when you should stop.
Overall I wouldn’t be inclined to recommend this toy. It has a nice outward appearance but a functionality that doesn’t live up to that of its smaller cousins in the range.

Experience
As a man I was using this vibrator both anally and to stimulate the penis; something I have done before with other similar products, to great success.
When used anally the RO-160mm felt quite pleasant inside the body, despite being a completely rigid toy. When the vibrations were turned on, however, the effect wasn't great; the vibrations didn't seem to be directed anywhere, the whole toy just seemed to shake and wobble around without actually transferring any of its power into the body. The stimulation of the prostate was very poor, and this didn't change when cycling through the available options.
When it came to using the RO-160mm on the penis the outcome was very similar; the toy simply rattled around in my hand, and when I ran it over the most sensitive areas of the penis, very little off the vibrations caused any noteworthy sensation.

Follow-up commentary

I've had this toy for a few months, and I have to say my experiences with it haven't improved at all.
When you combine the fact that it makes a lot of noise and performs poorly, there's very little motivation to ever use it, so I just don't. Perhaps the noise would be excusable if it actually got the job done, but as it stands it really is all bark and no bite.
On the subsequent occasions that I tried using it, I can only say that there was no change to my earlier assessment. The vibrations from it really do nothing for me whatsoever.
It's a decent looking toy, but this one just isn't for me.

I find bullets difficult to use anally in the best of times. Between the short length, hard to hold bodies, and wondering if they're going to pop inside they don't seem to do much. I think this one must be designed more for ladies.
