Flutter is a dual stimulation toy designed to stimulate both internally and externally at the same time. It has a very slight g-spot tip and a clitoral stimulator in the shape of a butterfly. The clitoral stimulator is not good for people who prefer firm pressure on their clitoris, instead the antenna flutter lightly across the top of the clitoris providing more of a teasing sensation. One could also use either the shaft or clitoral stimulator on the nipples or other erogenous zones, although the shape of the toy might make this a but awkward. I suppose it could even be safely inserted anally, with the clitoral arm keeping it safe outside of the body, but because of the porous material I would not recommend it especially not without a condom. It is waterproof as well so it is safe for use in the shower or bath and you don't have to worry about damaging it while cleaning either. It's not huge but the design isn't discrete so it's up to you if you deem this appropriate for travel or not.

Flutter is made out of a somewhat clear TPR which it a rubber compound. TPR is a relatively safe material rating a 7 on the EF safety scale but it is somewhat porous and will absorb and harbor bacteria so I would recommend using a condom with it. The material itself is quite firm, and doesn't have much give, but it is very flexible. Once you release it it will quickly spring back to it's starting position instead of holding the curve you give it.



The toy has no texture and is entirely smooth but the surface is tacky and does provide an incredible amount of drag so I would highly recommend using lubricant any time you use this toy. It also attracts quite a bit of hair and lint it is important to store it in some sort of bag or pouch and rinse it off before every use. It has a slight chemical smell but no taste.

This is a moderately sized toy with an insertable length of 4.5 inches and a circumference of about 4.25 inches and shouldn't intimidate even the most modest of users. One aspect which I particularly enjoyed is the mildly curved and enlarged tip that provided a great full feeling and even some g-spot stimulation. If you're looking to explore your g-spot and provide direct and intense stimulation there then this toy is not appropriate for you, but for some subtle stimulation this was great.

The clitoral stimulator is where I have the biggest problem with this toy, it is in the shape of an incredibly large and realistic butterfly.



While being quite pretty it just seems a bit larger than necessary, especially since I found that it didn't provide much stimulation, but more on that later.

Flutter is a surprisingly powerful toy considering that it runs on just two AAA batteries. The batteries are loaded into the base in a small plastic white casing. It has directions on it that make it clear and easy to insert them.



Located on the removable plastic base it the one push button control, while it is very straightforward and easy to operate, it is sometimes too easy. I found that it was very common for me to accidentally hit the button during use and change a setting or turn it off entirely, which I must say, is frankly annoying.



As I said earlier, the toy itself is pretty powerful, but also incredibly buzzy. I wrap my hands around the tip for less than a minute and the highest speed and it is almost unbearable, and my hand is numb, luckily it isn't quite as big of a problem during use. When inserted the vibrations, combined with the filling feeling of the tip, makes it very enjoyable internally. There are only three speeds, low, medium, and high; once you hit the final vibration mode it turns off with another click of the button, then cycles back through the modes.

Unfortunately externally is where this toy is lacking, but that may also be due to my own personal tastes. The vibrations travel well through the clitoral arm, although they are weaker than in the shaft, and into the antenna. Unfortunately the sensations provided are so weak that they are drowned out by the sensations of being penetrated. I even tried to move the butterfly attachment, pushing it against my clitoris and I still couldn't get any stimulation from it. It just ended up being more frustrating than arousing.

Like most powerful, battery operated toys, the flutter is pretty loud, a blanket won't mute this one on the highest setting, and neither will a closed door. According to my boyfriend he could "hear it if a 747 was flying overhead," and although I don't think it's quite that loud but it is up there, definitely about four bees on it's highest setting. Although I have never used this toy in water, it seems to have a reliable O-ring and seal to protect it and I have never had any trouble with water leaking into the battery compartment while cleaning.

TPR is not the safest material out there so it is imperative that you take good care of it to prolong it's life. Be sure to use a condom on it if you are using it between partners or orifices, it cannot be sterilized, I even use one while I am using it alone because the material is somewhat porous. It is best to rinse it with warm soap and water before and after use because it collects lint and hair easily, I store it in a Ziploc bag so it does not come in contact with any toys, I also remove the batteries to prolong the life of this toy and protect it from corrosion. Lubricant is a necessity with this toy, and whatever lube you prefer would be compatible with this toy.
