Fun for Foreplay!
The Groovies Wave is a nice choice if you want to use it for foreplay, and clitoral stimulation. The small size makes it very disappointing for penetration, but good for storage and when you're on the go. A good beginner's vibrator.Published: June 22, 2011

Groovies Wave is a fun little vibrator that would be best for beginners! I personally find it best as a foreplay item.
What I love about this vibrator is that it is soft and small. The vibrator is very compact which helps greatly for storage and for traveling. Due to the size, cleaning is very easy, and it fits very well in the palm of my hand! The "waves" on this vibrator would be a very nice touch if the vibrator was a larger size. The overall length is 5 1/2 inches with a diameter of only 1 inch. I recommend that the vibrator be used primarily as a foreplay toy, for teasing stimulation. In the department of penetration it is a disappointment. Not even the vibration features can make up for the small size of the vibrator. Another thing to note about this vibrator is that it is waterproof, which definitely makes for fun in the tub!
I did not personally like the over played "girly" look to this vibrator. The available colors are screaming pink and loud purple. The silver, pink, and purple jewels added at the bottom were just the icing on the cake of what I imagine a tween's first vibrator would look like. The jewels also looked like they were applied very quickly. After a couple of uses, some jewels have started to pop out so please: always check the jewels before you use this vibrator.

Depends on what kind you are looking for (clitoral, g-spot, combination). I would suggest figuring out what kind you want. You can filter the product listings by that type and then sort by rating. Check out the reviews. If you can narrow it down to a few that you like, you can post a comparative discussion to the forum to get some additional feedback.

That's a really vague question. If you're just getting started, I would recommend any toy made up of a body-friendly material (such as silicone) and familiarize yourself with what toys are made of and the pros and cons of each type of material. The more hygienic materials tend to cost more, but they are worth it in the end because they will last longer and are more body-friendly.
What do you like in the way of toys? Groovie Waves not working?

Are other people having problems with the Groovie Waves spontaneously quitting? I received it and attempted to use it as directed but I barely got it inserted before it sputtered twice and died. I've been doing my kegels but I don't think I'm THAT good yet ;) Just curious if others are having problems.

Mine worked fine.. hasn't given me any trouble and I've had it a couple of weeks. (knock on wood!) hehe!
