Some like to Tango, some like to Waltz

The Tango is the answer to a prayer for those who are sick of cutesy animal-shaped dual stimulator toys. Its smooth lines make for a comfortable ride, and the deep, powerful motor will set your insides thrumming. It may not be anything fancy, but this thick, sleek vibrator was designed to please. To those who don't need strong clitoral stimulation, this is a delightful toy.

Pros:
Wonderful shape, strong yet quiet motor, silicone, waterproof.
Cons:
May not provide enough clitoral stimulation for some.

Use

The Tango III (hereafter refereed to as just the Tango) is a sleek, streamlined dual-stimulator toy. The lack of a little animal sticking out the side of the toy is a refreshing change. The sleek lines make it more comfortable for fast thrusting, and for users who don't want much texture. The vibrations are deep and thrumming, but do not carry well into the clitoral attachment - those who need moderately strong clitoral stimulation or pressure to get off will be disappointed with the Tango. If you prefer internal stimulation with just a little clitoral, this one's right up your alley.

Material / Texture

The Tango's body is made of Fun Factory's usual plush, velvety-soft silicone. It's got a lot of give when you squeeze it, but it's not at all floppy. The matte surface has a lot of drag - it needs more lube than slicker silicones, but it adds a delicious friction. There is essentially no texture, aside from the velvety surface and the contouring of the shaft. Like all high quality silicone, the Tango has no taste or odor.

The handle base of the Tango is made of plastic, with a raised swirl design. The swirl isn't just decorative, it's useful. When everything starts getting lubey and slick, the swirl makes the base much easier to keep a hold of.

Design / Shape / Size

The overall design of the Tango comes of as sleek and futuristic. It is definitely no-frills. There are no rotating beads, nor does the shaft rotate, spin, or thrust. The clitoral attachment doesn't even have its own motor (which may be a plus for some, and a minus for others).

The shaft starts out straight, with a bend partway up. The overall effect is reminiscent of a finger beckoning "come hither." The bend lets the tip deliver some nice g-spot stimulation, if it ends up in the right place for you; otherwise, it just feels nice somewhere else. With a usable length of 5" and a diameter of 1.5", it's not an overwhelming shaft, either. Beginners may find it rather thick, but plush silicone keeps it comfortable, even if the girth is a stretch.

The clitoral stimulator sticks out instead of angling straight up. While it is unlikely to fit many body shapes exactly, in this position it is far more likely to get close enough for many users. Be aware that there is no motor in the clit attachment, so any vibration will be diffused from the main motor in the base of the shaft.

Functions / Performance / Controls

In many ways, the Tango performs fantastically well. The whole design is comfortable and pleasurable, unlike some of the more exotically shaped rabbit-style vibrators. It feels great whether you want to thrust, rock, or grind. The controls are easy to use, even in the heat of the moment, with just a (+) to increase, a (-) to decrease, and a booster button to give you that last little bit of Omph! you need to push you over the edge. The battery compartment, which is easy to figure out without a detailed instruction manual, is also waterproof. Even when I submerged it for 15 minutes, it didn't leak, so feel free to take it with you on your watery adventures!

The motor is very strong, yet not overly loud. It's set at the base of the shaft, right next to the clit stimulator. The intention is that this one motor will make both the shaft and the clitoral attachment vibrate together off of one motor. Unfortunately, this only half works. The shaft vibrates nicely, conducting the deep thrum up to the very tip. The clitoral stimulator does not fare so well. If no pressure is placed on it, a mild vibration makes its way to the business end. If you put any pressure on it, or try to reach down and maneuver it into the right spot... nothing. Any pressure at all damps any vibrations that manage to make it in. Because of this design, this toy works best for those who like strong, deep internal vibrations, with light, teasing external vibrations.

Care and Maintenance

The Tango is easy to care for. Because it is made of plastic and silicone, it can be sanitized in a 10% bleach solution if necessary. Don't boil this toy or run it through the dishwasher; otherwise, feel free to use whatever cleaning method suits your usage and sharing (or lack thereof), be that soap and water, toy cleaners, wipes, or bleach.

The Tango can be safely stored in with other non-reactive toy materials (high-quality silicone, plastic, elastomed, glass, steel, etc). If it is going to share a case or drawer with less stable materials (generally, anything under 10 on EdenFantasys's material safety scale), store the toys in individual bags or wraps. Plastic zip-top bags work well for organizing.

Because it is made of silicone, the Tango is compatible with water-based and oil-based lubes, but may bond to silicone lubes. If you want to use it with your favorite silicone-based or hybrid lube, to a spot test on an inconspicuous part of the toy before slathering up your whole toy.

I agree. I like it for the most part.

My questions is...why is it called the Tango III.

Writing the review right now and I realized...I have no clue. Were their other ones before this?

I wonder the same thing...why does it have this shape? For any good reason?
