Symphony Interlude - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Viv

Besides having a classy sounding name and a coming in a very classy metal container, the Symphony Interlude by Evolved|Symphony Interlude is in its own a high-end vibe, especially for the price. Made of phthalate-free TPR, the Interlude looks and moves like jelly, but has a density that is just slightly less than silicone. While less porous than jelly, TPR cannot be sanitized, so you’ll want to use a condom if you’re sharing. It had no taste but a slight smell that was not at all unpleasant or like the usually jelly smell, and it faded quickly with washing (soap and water or toy cleaner). Being TPR, the Eden guide states that both water-based and silicone-based lubes are compatible. For power the Interlude uses 2 AA batteries set in a little shuttle that makes taking them in and out very easy. There is an o-ring at the opening and a very tight seal; I would trust this one in the shower without worry.

The vibe itself is very attractive. The shaft is a very clear vibrant pink with vertical ribs that make the toy seem like a giant crystal. The base flares out a tiny bit (but not much so it is NOT anal friendly) and is coated with a silicone feeling covering with a small button on the bottom which lets you cycle through 3 levels of vibration. And this thing is quiet! Even in a silent house, I couldn’t hear the vibe on high through a closed door with my ear pressed against it.

Down to business: the vibration even on the highest level is not the knock-your-socks-off type of power, but it still has plenty of buzz behind it. The vibrations are not shallow, but a deep, deep thrum that resonated through my clit to rattle through my entire pelvis. The first two levels are so deep in frequency that it almost feels like a pulsation, while the highest produces a steady throb. In short, I fell in love. With the bullet tip of the vibe, this was perfect for giving deep and long clit orgasms that left me dizzy.

Internally, the vibration didn’t do as much for me. While I could still feel it making my whole pelvis buzz, there wasn’t enough power behind it to ever get me off internally. But I didn’t mind because of those vertical ribs: hands down my favorite part of the toy. These reasons, and the fact that TPR is porous and attracts all sorts of lint and hair, are the only things keeping me from giving this toy a full 5/5. It’s a great vibe that I’ll most definitely be reaching for often!

I can’t stress enough how amazing those vertical ribs feel. Even if the Interlude didn’t vibrate with such a lovely frequency or at all, I would still buy this again just for what this does to me when it’s rotated.
