Purple Monster

I felt that this toy's brand, Evolved, was just overly stating itself by giving itself a great name. After my purchase I totally didn't feel like that anymore. I would say to give it a whirl even if you thought there wasn't any way for a toy to live up to a name like Symphony Interlude.

Use

This slightly slippery and smooth vibrator with several levels of power glides in and out with little friction. If you have issues with realistic dildos, this sleek toy is just right for you. With the power at the tip top of the shaft, it makes for an excellent powerhouse of pleasure. It worked for me in several areas, including the nipples, clit, and vaginal opening, leaving little to wonder what it's good for.

Material / Texture

The material is super easy to explain. It has a very slippery smooth texture from the TVP rubber, which is durable but soft. If you have lube on the end and aren't holding it by the handle, it's fair to say that it's almost impossible to keep a good grip on any end. It would eventually just slip through your fingers. I have very small hands which make for an excellent grip on just about any toy, and I still had a hard time holding onto the end. So, the texture makes it an easy choice with excellent options for couples who like dual stimulation but no hassle, or even a way for people who finish separately to finish or keep going - which could also be the reason for it's name: the Symphony Interlude.
    • Smooth.somewhat flexiable

Design / Shape / Size

The shape is ribbed and tapered, with the end being the thickest and the tip being slightly smaller in circumference. I did find it to be a little workout; with the removal thrust I found myself doing a sit-up to tighten myself around the toy harder. I got a little workout without knowing it. Not to forget, the picture for Eden's product details doesn't do it justice - I had no idea it was over 8 inches long! I had thought it was 5 total. But I got a good surprise when I saw what it came in, which is that the box it came in is almost 12 inches long. Don't let that shock you. The insertable length of the toy is 6 inches. Plus, the taper makes a considerable difference in insertion and withdrawal. I would even have to say that, unless you're truly sexually excited, it is going to give you quite a workout. That is, unless you were just having some actual sex with a man and you're still dripping on the way home. This will certainly fulfill that extra oomph you needed to keep you going.

Even though the toy isn't going to be easy to hide in that huge case, there are some pluses: like the case it comes in is a permanent metal box with easy access to the toy. It's hard to hide, but it does come with the case which makes it portable enough to take with you anywhere you want it to go. It stays in its package, so it won't make anyone nervous if there has to be a bag check at the airport or anything.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Like I said, the vibrations are at the top, which is the insertion side - but it is extremely loud, and if you accidentally drop it into the tub or even on the floor, the base or handle rattles wildly. I found it hard to imagine an almost completely rubber toy would make that much noise. Since the tip has a powerful vibrator, the opposite end absorbs all the power, which turns out to make a sound like a knock but much louder. It is comparable to a drum set falling down the stairs.

It performs the same way in many different settings, whether it is a jacuzzi, bath tub, or shower. It can hold a temperature if you're into temperature play. The controls consists of a single touch internal pad to speed up.
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

The was the easiest toy I have every had; the sleek and smooth design made for an easy cleanup. I just rinsed it off and used some anti-bacterial cleaner and set it to dry on a rack. Later, I just put it back into its beautiful case and was done with it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Experience

Overall, this is worth owning over and over again. I don't think I could go without it for even a couple days without noticing that it was gone. It has that need that makes it necessary to own, and it gets the job done well if you're in a tight spot. It's different and better than most of my toys, which is hard for me to say 'cause I didn't even want to get it in the first place. I like sex toys that are pretty and complex and look nothing like the others. So, I want functionality, and in the end I found this toy is different in its own way from each of the others I have bought before it, and it surely didn't perform like any of the others.
Follow-up commentary
This is most delicious and I call it the purple pickle. Just because you put it in an awesome container doesn't mean what's inside is what you expect. It's super fun and I like this for boyfriend stuff because it's not as intimating as a vibrating prick.

Fab review! I have a question though.. I thought this was made of TPR? I haven't ever heard of TVP. I found your review useful and enjoyed reading. I have a few Evolved toys that have been my FAV for a very long time. My fav of all is Flutter, which is similar to this in material and color, but has a clitoral attachment. With Sugar, I've noticed rattling like you mentioned! I wonder what that's about? Mine does it ever so often and it seems it's in the battery compartment. It vibrates so strongly though, that it feels and looks like it's going crazy. Lol. Sometimes I can tighten the cap really tight and the noise dissapears. Maybe that'll help with yours?

    Nice review, thank you!

What sort of batteries does this take?

I've never tried an Evolved toy, but this sounds really neat.
