I don't have a preference, but I do love playing Monopoly! We used to play it every Thanks Giving on my dad's side of the family (my cousins and I). It was the only time we all got to see each other, and we'd spend the day playing that game!

The cat!!! I don't think I've ever played one with a cat though. Lol. But it'd be my favorite. I don't play it anymore, but when I did, I would be the iron or the thimble. Not because I liked them, but hey. Not much to choose from.

The Horsie!!!

Growing up with a family of six, we'd play Monopoly together and everyone took all the game peices they wanted and left the horsie behind because no one else wanted it. Over time it became known as "Woman's peice" and now my whole family seems to think it was always my favourite peice.

Strange how these things happen!

I think ours still has the iron actually, otherwise I would have picked the cat. :3
But yeah, I usually go with the cute little scottie dog. None of the others ever held much appeal for me.

Then again, when you factor in all the special versions with like movie characters and such...this poll could have easily broken the poll system. xD

Ours is one of the sets with the neat electronic banking thing, but I guess it's from before the swapped out the iron.
The electronic banking is one of the best things to happen to Monopoly though...dunno how many times I kept getting the fake money messed up as a kid.

I haven't played Monopoly since I was a kid. I now hate it seeing as how the girl I used to play with was obnoxious and always won. Anyways, I always picked the dog!

The cat replaced the iron recently.

I personally would use the iron or shoe as my two primary ones with the car when I would play with extended family or in polite company. The iron was my favorite so that I could "iron your face" when I would pass the jail if someone was there. The boot was about the same reason, I would use it to kick pieces that were in jail as I passed.

Gee, kick a person while they're down! That is actually pretty funny that you thought of that as a kid!

@ SourAppleMartini, I liked the hat, too! There is soething pleasing about the hat shape & feel in your fingers! But, in general, I liked lots of different ones & wasn't too picky. Now, however, I would fight for the cat!

@ KyotoAngel: I didn't want to bother finding out all the game pieces used in different versions of the game, so I just stuck with the regular ones that most people would be familiar with.
