It's been forever since I've done a video review. Do you still get the points for them?

You can exchange the lingerie for a different size or return it for a refund.

I think I like the idea of deeper discount and more points better than the free monthly assignment! As long as we can still review whatever we want and there isn't a cap on how many people can do a buyout on that product, as there isn't one now. I hope to see that concern addressed, it worries me.

I don't think it should be a once a month deal.

I don't know if I like the idea of giving someone that reviews a product first a bigger discount. Some people can't get on every day, or aren't on when new things are added, so it's really not that fair to do it that way. Some people have more time to be here than others and that's no one's fault. So I don't think they should get a bigger discount and then someone else comes along and only gets a small one.

I like the idea of one DR and one push on new items, especially the expensive ones. I got approved for the DR program, but it's been MONTHS since I've been given one I don't know if my reviews aren't good enough anymore or what? But then I wonder how they will pick who gets what? I filled out that form saying what products/materials I would want to review and then you could mention things you wouldn't want and I put anal toys, but I still got a couple push assignments before that I denied because I am not comfortable doing anything anally related. So it was a bummer that I finally get a push assignment (not DR) and I had to decline because I don't like that type of stuff.

This one sounds good. I like the idea of more points for reviews. I like the idea of more of a discount for buyouts. I too hadn't had a requested assignment for months since there was nothing available.

Of course I believe that the discounts should go up the higher the ranking that you have.

I would love to see the milestones increased for every 100 reviews that you do. I will be hitting the 300 mark soon.

It sounds like a great idea to me, There's not a body that I know who doesn't like deep. It is amazingly hard to fine monthly items lately, so I'm all for the new upgrade to the system.

Not a bad idea, then we can review at our own pace. fast or slow

Sometimes it's a few months between DRs. I know it seems like "They've added 30 products this week that needed a DR! How could I not have gotten one?" But keep in mind that there are probably way more than 100 people in the DR program that get rotated through.

You can always message Gary if you see something you really want to do a DR on that hasn't been assigned one yet; I've done that a few times! Don't get the "I never get anything" blues, I go through that sometimes, too, but you have to remember that it's nothing personal keeping them from giving you assignments but the sheer number of DR reviewers on rotation!

Well I feel better hearing that, thanks for bringing it up

What about increasing the time between when you can request assignments as well as increasing points? That way free assignments aren't totally eliminated.

Sounds interesting to say the least. I'm just a bit hesitant because I'm wondering about the specifics. For instance just how much the buyout discount and review points would increase. I can say I'm definitely all for the tier system and having current members be at the top. Hey who doesn't like a nice title and perks to come with what they've worked so hard for? As one of the current advanced reviewers I am all for the proposed new system and plan to stick around for quite some time.

After keeping up with the thread, I think my main concern is if things will be based solely on ranking. I agreed 100% with Kindred's analysis of the ranking system - basically those who write a ton of reviews have a high ranking, whether they "should" have such a high ranking or not. Even writing 100 crappy reviews will pad your rank.

But from what you've said, Gary, it sounds like it wouldn't be purely based on rank - and I like that. Some of us have been around for years, and don't have that many reviews published simply because we're too busy to constantly churn out reviews. So pro-rating it somehow, or basing it on some rank to number of reviews ratio, or summat would seem to be wise.

Honestly, I'm down for whatever you guys decide. Even if I don't love the hell out of some change somewhere, it's not that big of a deal. Eden has treated me so well over the years I've been here it's amazing. I ain't going anywhere any time soon. So whatever helps Eden the most is fine by me.

So far I am optimistic about such changes. I know that I would appreciate the review program even more if it could reward based on the usefulness of a review. In hindsight I wish I had spent more time thinking before posting in the last update thread.

I love EF and will continue to be active on the site no matter what. I have to admit that I will really miss free assignments though. It's not like I don't also buy other items but I really enjoy those, especially stepping out of the box and trying something that may or may not work for me.

More for a review sounds good to me. I don't review now, but for more points I'd like to review. As I have said before, I'm not interested in free toys... least not now. Sounds good to me! Will wait to see what happens.

Yes! I love it. Biggest relief I've heard all day... since the scary lingerie announcement. Lol. I'm one of those panicky ones sometimes.

This sounds pretty nice. I'm excited about it.

I have to say, I think it should be a great change! And one I will truly enjoy!

I rarely make use of the assigned review program... But I did love love love the free international shipping we were able to make use of. Gary, is there any way that if an international order is placed that is over a certain amount, we can get a discount on it? Or something similar?

Yes! The regular reviews you request from Carrie Ann still provide you with points. I don't believe that's changing. However, the assigned video program and the adult video program are more than likely being eliminated.

These sound like well thought out changes.

What measures can be taken to motivate reviewers to submit well written, quality reviews as opposed to just submitting the bare minimum (crap) just to exploit or take advantage of the discount and points?

Yes, you do. For now, the breakdown of points can still be found in the guidelines in the review area of your dash

To be fair, Eden does have a very generous return policy. If you get a piece of lingerie that doesn't suit you for whatever reason, you can return it for a refund or exchange within 60 days of shipment! ... more
Would that apply with the buy out program as well though?

My only question: Would the buyout assignments have free shipping? If not, then I can't buy off of EF anymore, since shipping to Canada is far too expensive without the monthly assignment free shipping.

I'm not saying a new system overall would be punishing. My concern was that part of the new system would be "If you've been here X amount of time, you only get the benefits of Y; but if you've been here XXX amount of time, you get YYY which is significantly better than Y". From what it sounds like though, everyone who's here already would get "grandfathered" in so I'm not so worried.

I understand there's been new people in the past who wanted to abuse the system, get a free somethin' and leave. Not all new people are like that, though.

I've held off posting to think & consider the suggestions. I am delighted with the proposed changes! It sounds like most are, at least, on the bandwagon, as well.

I do think it would be a real shame not to take the international customers into consideration as far as the effect on their shipping costs. Some of the best contributors are in other countries & I would hate to see less of my new found friends!

But, I'm really impressed that the admin are even engaging us on any of this; it's a savvy move on their part. Thanks for involving us in the process!

Not really a way we can tell. We can find plagiarism pretty easy. But short of coming to someone's house and demanding to see their sex toy collection, there isn't a verification process that would work.

The shipping on the new buyout idea seems to be a big concern with a lot of folks, I hope this question gets answered soon because I'm wondering this too.

I must say too, with the free assignments, I felt more open to trying products I wouldnt normally try...I dont know if I will feel the same now, but I am willing to give it a shot I guess
