Best plug for extended wear?

Pure plug medium

I'm looking to find a plug that's really good for long-term use. You see, I'm planning to go to an event on Halloween, and my boyfriend and I might slip away for some fun. But.. if we don't, we'll be around friends all day, and I want to make sure what I have in is going to be comfortable. I'd rather feel a little naughty and have something in for a good number of hours than to wear something uncomfortable and end up putting it in a napkin or bag for my boyfriend to pocket. (my costume won't have pockets..)

The Pure Plug Medium is my current choice. It has great reviews, and seems the best for long-term wear for now.

Any suggestions? Tips? Etc?

You know, I have heard that the pure plug medium is a great choice for long term wear, and although I don't have much experience with that particular plug, my only problem with it is the sheer weight of a metal plug. Those that have done it swear it is no problem at all, and you would definitely feel it if that is what you were after...
Some silicone ones to consider: Tantus' Ryder and Whipspider Rubberworks' Screw (large or small). Have fun!

I love to wear the pure plug (both medium and small) for extended periods. It is heavy, though, and you will not forget it's in.

If you want something lighter, I'd also recommend the Bootie. It's comfortable to wear as well for long periods of time.

I'm another Pure Plug fan, but I find it to be too heavy for long-term wear. That said, my boyfriend has kept it in for extended periods and been fine, so it may just be a matter of preference. Personally, I'd go with something a little lighter if you're going to have it in all day, and I'll second the recommendation for the Tantus Ryder.

One thing to keep in mind is the depth of the base, especially if you're sitting down. It's possible that the Pure Plug's base might poke while you're sitting down - it would depend on how big it is and the build of your buttocks.

The Ryder is a good long-term plug, as is the much bigger A-Bomb. The Nexus Tristan series stay in well, but the base is often noticeable unless you have tight pants on underneath baggy pants. What you want to look for is a narrowish, rounded base (comfort and discretion) and a longish neck (for secure retention).

What plugs have you tried before?

The Bootie. All the way. EXCELLENT for all day wear.

So far just 3. One slim jelly one that I think is close to it's expiration date, the raging hard-ons plug, and the Tristan.

I just love the NJoy Pure Plug-med. I can wear it for hours w/o discomfort, even sitting down. The Tristan is also great for me.
The Ryder I use for as a warm-up for larger toys and anal sex. For me it is too long for extended wear but it does stay in place.
The NJoy does provide ongoing titillation for me and is also awesome in place during vaginal sex or masturbation.

The Njoy doesn't feel heavy to you? That seems to be one of the bigger issues with it for long term use..

I like the Tristan, but the base is a little too wide to wear for very long..

Then your best bet is probably to look at the photos and pick a toy with a long neck and smaller base. In general I like silicone for long-term wear, since it's soft enough to move with you instead of poking and doesn't leach nasty stuff.

I know this thread is a couple weeks old, so I don't know if the OP (original poster) made a decision yet... but if it makes any difference, my vote is also for the njoy pure plug medium as well. That plug is so smooth, small enough that it is easy to insert and wear, has a really thin stem making it comfortable for extended periods of time, has a flat handle that sits nicely between your cheeks without sticking out, and has a nice weight to it to remind that it's there. Overall, it's the nicest plug I've tried. Hope this helps!

I personally love the Pure Plug for long term wear. The weight is not a problem. It is only weighty enough to make it's presence known. It does not make it uncomfortable. The design of the toy makes it a top contender for long term wear. The toy really plugs. With some plugs your anus will stretch enough to allow the toy to slide out. The pure plug rarely has problems with that unless you need to increase the size of the plug.

I do recommend that because the anus isn't self lubricating that if you choose to use this plug for long term wear that you take it out periodically to clean and re-lubricate it.

I like these steel plugs for design, weight, handle vs flat base. I like this style is better for extended wear.
