I find that they have to be short or they hurt me.

We personally love them. Just start out with something small that has a good taper to it at the base. We've found that toys that taper towards the base make initial insertion much easier and stay put a lot better. And always remember: plenty of patience and lube!

No, I only like the stainless steel plugs made by Njoy, no other company can beat their quality and design.

I haven't tried much glass yet, but I'd really like to. Keep in mind that since glass toys don't have any give, they're bound to feel somewhat larger than their silicone equivalents, which have more "give."

we like glass, but find they have to be smaller than our normal plugs (which are silicone) to really enjoy them.

I have two glass plugs and like them a lot, but they do have their negatives. I wouldn't do any thrusting with them and since they are very rigid, it takes a little longer to insert. Mine are perfect for the manner in which I use them.

I only own one glass plug, the Sexy Spades Large. It feels very nice, but it makes its rigidity known after a short while of wearing. When it comes to plugs, I would prefer silicone for its softness, or a lovely stainless steel Njoy plug, as they are the ultimate in pluggy comfort.

My biggest concerns with glass plugs lie in the base; it is pretty rare to find a glass plug without a circular base, which I find uncomfortable after about half an hour. There are interesting ones from the Pipedream Icicles collection with a ring base, but I'd be afraid of breaking it if I were to sit on a hard surface.

All of that being said, I do love glass as a material, I just prefer it in dildos and probes instead of anal plugs.
